Video Proof That an Actual Person Went on the World’s Tallest Water Slide and Didn’t Die

Back in January we showed you the jaw-dropping view from atop of Verrückt, the world’s tallest water slide. There has been much excitement about the terrifying water slide at the Schlitterbahn water park in Kansas City that towers at 168-feet high. There have also been several setbacks and delays in opening the massive 17-story attraction. Despite the early stumbling blocks, someone was actually brave enough to take on this monster, which is taller than both the Statue of Liberty and Niagara Falls. This intrepid individual strapped a camera to his raft to give you a horrifying POV of the plummet that whips you at 65 mph.

Going as fast as your car in a plastic raft that isn’t secured to a track seems like a totally safe thing. What’s the worst that could happen?

Oh. Yeah, could you just point me in the direction of the lazy river?
