We are officially into the home stretch of the NFL season, as we are in the final quarter of the regular season. Week 14 has set us up with some really intriguing games the rest of the way.
32. New York Giants (2-11)

Getty Image
Last Week: 14-11 (L) vs. Saints
This Week: vs. Ravens
Credit to the Giants for playing hard and fighting back after a rough start. But, the fact they lost on a blocked field goal shows what kind of season it’s been. Everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong.
31. Las Vegas Raiders (2-11)

Last Week: 28-13 (L) @ Buccaneers
This Week: vs. Falcons
The Raiders are awful, and now their fans will have to suffer through Desmond Ridder likely quarterbacking the team the rest of the season. It doesn’t get much worse than that. Thankfully, there should be a new franchise quarterback on the way this offseason.
30. Tennessee Titans (3-10)

Getty Image
Last Week: 10-6 (L) vs. Jaguars
This Week: vs. Bengals
The Titans aren’t very good, but a loss to a Jaguars team without Trevor Lawrence was still pretty stunning. The fact they could only muster six points against one of the world’s worst defenses shows just how much work has to be done on the Tennessee offense this offseason.
29. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-10)

Getty Image
Last Week: 10-6 (W) @ Titans
This Week: vs. Jets
The Jaguars got a divisional win, and they fought hard for lame duck head coach Doug Pederson. It did knock them out of pole position for the first-overall pick, however.
28. New York Jets (3-10)

Getty Image
Last Week: 32-26 (L) @ Dolphins
This Week: @ Jaguars
Once again, the Jets found a way to lose. They actually played a pretty good game against the Dolphins, but a few missed throws from Aaron Rodgers and porous defense did them in late. Fans are begging for the season to end.
27. New England Patriots (3-10)

Getty Image
Last Week: Bye
This Week: @ Cardinals
The Patriots will look to continue to see Drake Maye develop in the final four games of the season.
26. Chicago Bears (4-9)

Getty Image
Last Week: 38-13 (L) @ 49ers
This Week: vs. Panthers
The Bears were completely non-competitive on Sunday in interim head coach Thomas Brown’s debut. It was a huge step back for an offense that had been showing some progress. Like the Jets, they’re just waiting for the season to end at this point.
25. Dallas Cowboys (5-8)

Getty Image
Last Week: 27-20 (L) vs. Bengals
This Week: @ Panthers
The Cowboys probably should’ve beat Cincinnati, only to lose on a fluke play after a blocked punt should’ve set them up with the game-winning score. It’s been that kind of year in Dallas.
24. Cleveland Browns (3-10)

Getty Image
Last Week: 27-14 (L) @ Steelers
This Week: vs. Chiefs
Early on, it looked like the Browns could get their first win in Pittsburgh since Tim Couch was under center. Ultimately, they fell short, but Jameis Winston continues to make them entertaining, at least.
23. Carolina Panthers (3-10)

Last Week: 22-16 (L) @ Eagles
This Week: @ Bears
The Panthers were literally inches from taking the lead late in the game in what would’ve been a huge upset over the Eagles. This is a team that could make a huge leap this year. It’s made a big leap this year, frankly.
22. New Orleans Saints (5-8)

Getty Image
Last Week: 14-11 (W) @ Giants
This Week: vs. Commanders
The Saints continue to play hard for interim head coach Darren Rizzi, who might coach himself into getting the permanent gig. Sadly, it seems like an injury to his non-throwing hand may end Derek Carr’s season.
21. Atlanta Falcons (6-7)

Getty Image
Last Week: 42-21 (L) @ Vikings
This Week: @ Raiders
The Falcons have now lost four in a row, Kirk Cousins is regressing, and their once-commanding lead in the NFC South is gone. Is it time to bench Kirk Cousins?
20. Cincinnati Bengals (5-8)

Last Week: 27-20 (W) @ Cowboys
This Week: @ Titans
Finally, the ball bounced Cincinnati’s way for seemingly the first time all season when the Cowboys muffed a punt they had already blocked. There is a slim path to the playoffs still, but they have to win out. Thankfully, Joe Burrow is good enough to do just that.
19. Indianapolis Colts (6-7)

Getty Image
Last Week: Bye
This Week: @ Broncos
It’s must-win territory for the Colts the rest of the way. A big in Denver awaits.
18. Arizona Cardinals (6-7)

Getty Image
Last Week: 30-18 (L) vs. Seahawks
This Week: vs. Jaguars
The Cardinals have definitely shown progress this year, but ultimately the thought of them being a playoff team may have been premature. This three-game losing streak shows there are still things to fix.
17. San Francisco 49ers (6-7)

Getty Image
Last Week: 38-13 (W) vs. Bears
This Week: vs. Rams
The 49ers desperately needed a get-right game, and they got one. A banged-up team dominated the Bears in all facets. Now, they head into a must-win game at home against the Rams. They need this one if they want any hope of a playoff spot.
16. Miami Dolphins (6-7)

Getty Image
Last Week: 32-26 (W) vs. Jets
This Week: @ Texans
The Dolphins won a close game, beating the Jets in overtime. Plenty of close games have gone against Miami this year. Ultimately, it’s probably win-out territory for the Dolphins if they want to make the postseason for a third-straight year.
15. Houston Texans (8-5)

Getty Image
Last Week: Bye
This Week: vs. Dolphins
The Texans will look to finish strong after a mediocre middle part of the season. Thankfully, they’re very much in control of the AFC South.
14. Seattle Seahawks (8-5)

Getty Image
Last Week: 30-18 (W) @ Cardinals
This Week: vs. Packers
A fantastic road win has given the Seahawks a one-game lead in the NFC West. If Geno Smith doesn’t turn the ball over and they run the ball like they did against the Cardinals, they are tough to beat.
13. Washington Commanders (8-5)

Getty Image
Last Week: Bye
This Week: @ Saints
The Commanders are in a situation few expected them to be in at the beginning of the year, as they’re firmly in the playoff picture. They need to avoid a late-season letdown.
12. Los Angeles Rams (7-6)

Getty Image
Last Week: 44-42 (W) vs. Bills
This Week: vs. 49ers
The Rams won arguably the game of the year in the NFL so far when they upset the Bills on Sunday. Not only was it a statement win and a confidence-builder, but it got them back above .500. A huge game against the 49ers awaits.
11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-6)

Getty Image
Last Week: 28-13 (W) vs. Raiders
This Week: @ Chargers
The Buccaneers got off to a fast start and took care of business against the Raiders, moving into sole possession of 1st place in the NFC South. But, a sprained knee for superstar safety Antoine Winfield Jr. is a tough loss.
10. Denver Broncos (8-5)

Getty Image
Last Week: Bye
This Week: vs. Colts
The Broncos ought to beat the Colts at home this weekend. It’s a game they need, because the schedule gets tough the rest of the way.
9. Los Angeles Chargers (8-5)

Getty Image
Last Week: 19-17 (L) @ Chiefs
This Week: vs. Buccaneers
Only a field goal knocked in by the upright kept the Chargers from upsetting the Chiefs. It was a very encouraging performance for Justin Herbert and his teammates. They should feel like they can beat anyone in the playoffs, given how they played at Arrowhead Stadium.
8. Baltimore Ravens (8-5)

Last Week: Bye
This Week: @ Giants
The Ravens get the New York Giants coming off of a Bye Week, which essentially turns it into a double-bye. Expect any Ravens with bumps and bruises to be held out as they get ready for the stretch run.
7. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3)

Getty Image
Last Week: 27-14 (W) vs. Browns
This Week: @ Eagles
After a slow start, Pittsburgh dominated the middle quarters against Cleveland on Sunday. At a certain point, people need to start taking this team seriously as potential Super Bowl contenders.
6. Green Bay Packers (9-4)

Getty Image
Last Week: 34-31 (L) @ Lions
This Week: @ Seahawks
Green Bay played a fantastic game in Detroit, overcoming a slow start by Jordan Love to take the Lions to the brink. This is a team that can beat anyone in the postseason. The question is if they can string consecutive wins against good teams together.
5. Minnesota Vikings (11-2)

Getty Image
Last Week: 42-21 (W) vs. Falcons
This Week: vs. Bears
Sam Darnold played probably the best game of his NFL career on Sunday. If he continues to play well, the Vikings have a very interesting decision to make regarding Darnold, who will be a free agent in the offseason. First-rounder JJ McCarthy, who spent the entire season on IR this year, is waiting in the wings.
4. Buffalo Bills (10-3)

Last Week: 44-42 (L) @ Rams
This Week: @ Lions
It’s hard to go across the country and win, and Matthew Stafford played a fantastic game. What’s concerning is that Sean McDermott once again did not make the correct game management decisions in the final two minutes. It’s a trend that’s hard to ignore.
3. Kansas City Chiefs (12-1)

Getty Image
Last Week: 19-17 (W) vs. Chargers
This Week: @ Browns
The Chiefs seemingly invent new ways to win each week, this time banking in the winning field goal off an upright as time expired. These close games are going to catch up with them at some point, right? Right?
2. Philadelphia Eagles (11-2)

Getty Image
Last Week: 22-16 (W) vs. Panthers
This Week: vs. Steelers
It wasn’t pretty, but Philadelphia won their ninth-straight thanks to another stellar performance by Saquon Barkley. What makes this team so dangerous is that they can win games in a variety of ways. Their matchup with the Steelers this weekend is can’t-miss television.
1. Detroit Lions (12-1)

Getty Image
Last Week: 34-31 (W) vs. Packers
This Week: vs. Bills
The injuries continue to pile up on defense, though thankfully most of them seem to be short-term. But, this offense and Dan Campbell’s confidence in trusting the analytics and running behind his league-best offensive line on crucial fourth downs make the Lions nearly impossible to beat. This weekend’s game against the Bills is going to be fantastic.
