Here’s all 32 NFL starting quarterbacks ranked worst to first heading into Week 13 of the NFL Season

This week features the biggest shakeup in the middle part of the rankings that we’ve seen since the early part of the season.
Signs are point to Aidan O’Connell, Brock Purdy, and Trevor Lawrence all being available to play this weekend, so they re-enter the rankings.
32. Tommy DeVito (New York Giants)

Last Week: 21/31, 67.7%, 189 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 21/31, 67.7%, 189 yards, 0 TD / 0 INT, 83.9 passer rating
Tommy DeVito looked to be completey overmatched in his first start this season on Sunday. He’s going to make an excellent tank commander for the Giants the rest of the way.
31. Cooper Rush (Dallas Cowboys)

Last Week: 24/32, 75.0%, 247 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 91/149, 61.1%, 813 yards, 4 TD / 2 INT, 79.1 passer rating
Rush played a pretty solid game on Sunday against the Commanders. That performance was much more in line with what we’ve seen from him in past years. A few more performances like that will have him move up over some of the established starters.
30. Aidan O'Connell (Las Vegas Raiders)

Getty Image
Last Week: N/A
Season Stats: 52/82, 63.4%, 455 yards, 2 TD / 2 INT, 76.0 passer rating
Aidan O’Connell is expected to return from injury this Sunday. The final six weeks are the last chance he has to prove to the Raiders that he should be the team’s franchise quarterback.
29. Anthony Richardson (Indianapolis Colts)

Getty Image
Last Week: 11/28, 39.3%, 172 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 90/191, 47.1%, 1,402 yards, 5 TD / 7 INT, 65.4 passer rating
It’s frequently one step forward, two steps back for Anthony Richardson. Sunday’s dreadful performance against the Detroit Lions was one step back
28. Will Levis (Tennessee Titans)

Getty Image
Last Week: 18/24, 75.0%, 278 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 136/203, 67.0%, 1,447 yards, 10 TD / 9 INT, 85.6 passer rating
Levis is really starting to show some progress as a passer the last few weeks. If he could just cut down on the sacks and the poor decision-making, he could be a long-term starter in the NFL.
27. Bryce Young (Carolina Panthers)

Getty Image
Last Week: 21/35, 60.0%, 263 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 113/188, 60.1%, 1,083 yards, 5 TD / 6 INT
The Bryce Young improvement is very real, folks. At this point, The Panthers need to continue to build around him. He may indeed live up to his potential.
26. Drake Maye (New England Patriots)

Getty Image
Last Week: 22/37, 59.5%, 222 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 148/226, 65.5%, 1,458 yards, 10 TD / 7 INT
Ultimately, the Patriots are a dysfunctional team under Jerod Mayo, and Maye is playing pretty well given the circumstances. Right now, the ups are more frequent than the downs, which is all you can ask for.
25. Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville Jaguars)

Getty Image
Last Week: Bye
Season Stats: 168/274, 61.3%, 2,004 yards, 11 TD / 6 INT
The Jaguars had a Week 12 Bye, which meant that Trevor Lawrence got an extra week to recover from an injury to his non-throwing shoulder. Even if Lawrence has struggled a bit this year, he’s a massive upgrade over Mac Jones.
24. Jameis Winston (Cleveland Browns)

Getty Image
Last Week: 18/27, 66.7%, 219 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 107/172, 62.2%, 1,266 yards, 7 TD / 4 INT
Has any quarterback had more fun playing football in history than Jameis Winston had playing in the snow last Thursday? Certainly not many. He’s always going to be more fun than good, but he’s not playing poorly, either.
23. Aaron Rodgers (New York Jets)

Getty Image
Last Week: Bye
Season Stats: 241/380, 63.4%, 2,442 yards, 17 TD / 7 INT
The dysfunctional leader of the dysfunctional Jets needs to win out and possibly get help for the Jets to make the playoffs. That’s not what was expected coming into the season.
22. Russell Wilson (Pittsburgh Steelers)

Getty Image
Last Week: 21/28, 75.0%, 270 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 94/149, 63.1%, 1,212 yards, 7 TD / 2 INT
Wilson definitely has limitations at this stage of his career due to his small stature and diminishing mobility. But, he’s doing a solid job for the Steelers, even if the stat line from Thursday’s loss to the Browns was a bit better than he actually played.
21. Caleb Williams (Chicago Bears)

Getty Image
Last Week: 32/47, 68.1%, 340 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 233/372, 62.6%, 2,356 yards, 11 TD / 5 INT
Turns out, when not being held back by a terrible offensive coordinator in the now-fired Shane Waldron, Caleb Williams is an exceptional quarterback. Yes, he took a terrible sack in overtime, but he’s showing all of the traits that made him a generational quarterback prospect heading into the 2024 NFL Draft.
20. Derek Carr (New Orleans Saints)

Shutterstock
Last Week: Bye
Season Stats: 145/211, 68.7%, 1,742 yards, 13 TD / 4 INT
Derek Carr and the Saints will look to stay hot coming off of the bye against the Rams this weekend
19. Geno Smith (Seattle Seahawks)

Getty Image
Last Week: 22/31, 71.0%, 254 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 280/405, 69.1%, 3,035 yards, 12 TD / 12 INT
Geno would be much higher on this list if he could start avoiding the backbreaking, inexplicable, costly turnover that he seems to have every game. He got away with one against the Cardinals, but that hasn’t always been the case.
18. Jayden Daniels (Washington Commanders)

Getty Image
Last Week: 25/38, 65.8%, 275 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT
Season Stats: 227/332, 68.4%, 2,613 yards, 12 TD / 5 INT
I’d consider Daniels the start of the “middle” tier of quarterbacks, so don’t read too much into him dropping so much. But, it’s inarguable that he has regressed a bit from his ferocious start to the season. There aren’t any long-term concerns, however.
17. CJ Stroud (Houston Texans)

Getty Image
Last Week: 20/33, 60.6%, 247 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT
Season Stats: 250/396, 63.1%, 2,875 yards, 14 TD / 9 INT
Last year, CJ Stroud seemed prepared for every situation thrown at him, and was rarely uncomfortable. That’s not been the case this year. The offensive line has been a concern, but the regression is starting to get to be a bit concerning. He needs a solid final third of the NFL season.
16. Jordan Love (Green Bay Packers)

Getty Image
Last Week: 13/23, 56.5%, 163 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 173/280, 61.8%, 2,244 yards, 18 TD / 11 INT
He didn’t have to do much, which helped. But, Jordan Love finally played a clean game in terms of staying out of the interception column. He needs to build on efforts like that and become more efficient in other areas of the passing game.
15. Bo Nix (Denver Broncos)

Getty Image
Last Week: 25/42, 59.5%, 273 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 259/399, 64.9%, 2,548 yards, 16 TD / 6 INT
Bo Nix has been playing exceptional football, and in my opinion has surpassed Jayden Daniels in the Rookie of the Year race. His command of the pocket is really impressive for a rookie, and he has shown excellent accuracy. His improvement this year has been fun to watch.
14. Brock Purdy (San Francisco 49ers)

Getty Image
Last Week: N/A
Season Stats: 202/306, 66.0%, 2,613 yards, 13 TD / 8 INT
Purdy is expected to return from injury this weekend against the Bills. A blowout loss to the Packers last week proved just how much the 49ers need him.
13. Sam Darnold (Minnesota Vikings)

Getty Image
Last Week: 22/34, 64.7%, 330 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 221/327, 67.6%, 2,717 yards, 21 TD / 10 INT
Darnold got back on track to the way he was playing early in the year. Whether it’s in Minnesota or somewhere else, Sam Darnold is going to get a big contract this summer.
12. Kirk Cousins (Atlanta Falcons)

Getty Image
Last Week: Bye
Season Stats: 245/360, 68.1%, 2,807 yards, 17 TD / 9 INT
Cousins and the Falcons will look to get back on track after the Bye Week when they take on the Chargers this weekend.
11. Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers)

Getty Image
Last Week: 21/36, 58.3%, 218 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 197/313, 62.9%, 2,404 yards, 13 TD / 1 INT
Herbert played a solid game against the Ravens, and his stat line would like a bit better had Quentin Johnston not had a few crucial drops.
10. Kyler Murray (Arizona Cardinals)

Getty Image
Last Week: 24/37, 64.9%, 285 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 215/313, 68.7%, 2,343 yards, 12 TD / 4 INT
Kyler Murray cooled off a bit against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. But, it wasn’t necessarily a bad outing. He will look to rebound against a gettable Vikings pass defense.
9. Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins)

Getty Image
Last Week: 29/40, 72.5%, 317 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 170/232, 73.3%, 1,760 yards, 13 TD / 4 INT
Tua Tagovailoa might be playing the best football of his career. That’s a remarkable sentence to write considering many thought his career was over after his scary Week 2 concussion earlier this year.
8. Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams)

Getty Image
Last Week: 24/36, 66.7%, 243 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 256/385, 66.5%, 2,800 yards, 15 TD / 7 INT
The Rams lost on Sunday to the Eagles, but it wasn’t the fault of Matthew Stafford and the passing game. Stafford continues to play at a high level and shows few signs of slowing down as he ages.
7. Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles)

Getty Image
Last Week: 15/22, 68.2%, 179 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 197/285, 69.1%, 2,376 yards, 13 TD / 5 INT
Jalen Hurts is looking really comfortable in a Philadelphia Eagles offense now designed around Saquon Barkley and play-action passing. That’s probably the best possible scenario given his skillset.
6. Baker Mayfield (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Getty Image
Last Week: 24/30, 80.0%, 294 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 267/374, 71.4%, 2,799 yards, 24 TD / 9 INT
Call me crazy, but if you’re looking for someone not being talked about for NFL MVP that could get into the conversation with a great last six weeks of the season, look no further. Baker Mayfield has played at as high of a level as anyone has this season.
5. Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs)

Getty Image
Last Week: 27/37, 73.0%, 269 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 266/381, 69.8%, 2,673 yards, 18 TD / 11 INT
While the Chiefs have yet to hit their stride, despite their 10-1 record, Patrick Mahomes is starting to show signs of heating up. That’s a scary proposition for the rest of the NFL.
4. Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens)

Getty Image
Last Week: 16/22, 72.7%, 177 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 231/343, 67.3%, 3,053 yards, 27 TD / 3 INT
Jackson rebounded from a poor effort against Pittsburgh in Week 11 to play a bit better against the Chargers in Week 12. He’s definitely lost ground in the MVP race, but it’s a Super Bowl he’s really after.
3. Jared Goff (Detroit Lions)

Getty Image
Last Week: 26/36, 72.2%, 269 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 223/306, 72.9%, 2,761 yards, 20 TD / 9 INT
Goff continues to operate the Detroit Lions offense as efficiently as you can hope. He’s got an outside shot at breaking the single-season completion percentage record.
2. Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals)

Getty Image
Last Week: Bye
Season Stats: 274/408, 67.2%, 3,028 yards, 27 TD / 4 INT
The Bye Week came at the right time for the struggling Bengals, but at the wrong time for Joe Burrow. He will look to continue playing at an all-world level against the Steelers this weekend.
1. Josh Allen (Bufalo Bills)

Getty Image
Last Week: Bye
Season Stats: 217/339, 64.0%, 2,543 yards, 18 TD / 5 INT
Allen is now the leader in the MVP race. He will look to cement that status even further coming off of the Bye Week against the 49ers this weekend.
