We’re now nearly a fourth of the way through the season, and here are the 32 starting quarterbacks in the NFL ranked worst to first.

As we approach the quarter-mark of the NFL season, it’s become clear that we have a ton of quarterbacks in the “middle” with a larger number at the bottom than the top. Quarterbacks 11-22 are pretty interchangeable on this list.
Without further adieu, here are all 32 projected starting quarterbacks in the NFL for their team’s next game, ranked worst to first.
32. Tennessee Titans Quarterback Will Levis

Last Week: 3/4, 75.0%, 25 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 67/98, 68.4%, 604 yds, 4 TD / 6 INT
Want to know a good way to find yourself at the bottom of the rankings? Throw an interception, leave the game with injury, and watch from the sidelines as Mason Rudolph leads the team to their first win of the season. Turns out, once Will Levis can’t sabotage the Titans with terrible interceptions, they’re not that bad. The Titans say they’re sticking with Levis, assuming he’s healthy, but if they want to win games, that’s a bad choice. Nobody is hurting their team with turnovers more than Levis is.
31. Miami Dolphins Quarterback Tyler Huntley

Last Week: 14/22, 63.6%, 96 yds, 0 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 14/22, 63.6%, 96 yds, 0 TD, 0 INT
Tyler Huntley was wholly ineffective in the team’s blowout loss to the Titans. He has no ability to complete passes down the field and move the chains consistently through the air. He’s a a below-replacement-level starting quarterback.
30. Denver Broncos Quarterback Bo Nix

Last Week: 12/25, 48.0%, 60 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 83/138, 60.1%, 660 yds, 1 TD, 4 INT
Bo Nix had one of the worst passing halves in NFL history on Sunday, throwing for a league-record -7 yards in the first half on 7 completions. The second half was a little better and the Broncos got the win on a bad weather day. Ultimately, Nix is not an NFL-caliber starting quarterback right now.
29. New England Patriots Quarterback Jacoby Brissett

Last Week: 19/32, 59.4%, 168 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 61/101, 60.4%, 536 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT
If it wasn’t for the porous offensive line play in New England, Brissett would likely have already been benched for first-round rookie Drake Maye. As it stands, the team seems reluctant to throw Maye to the wolves in a bad situation, so they will continue to get terrible production i
28. Cleveland Browns Quarterback Deshaun Watson

Last Week: 24/32, 75.0%, 176 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 91/148, 61.5%, 727 yds, 4 TD, 3 INT
Where did the playmaker we saw in his years in Houston go? Watson didn’t always necessarily take the best care of the ball in his time in Houston. But, he was also willing and able to get the ball down the field. Now, he’s a glorified captain checkdown whose teammates don’t seem to like him very much. It’s time to play Jameis Winston.
27. Jacksonville Jaguars Quarterback Trevor Lawrence

Last Week: 18/33, 54.5%, 169 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 65/122, 53.3%, 729 yds, 4 TD, 1 INT
Lawrence’s inaccuracy continues to be mind-boggling. The 2021 number-one overall pick completed roughly 65% of his passes the last two seasons. Even his subpar rookie year saw him complete nearly 60%. Now, he’s one of the most inaccurate quarterbacks in the league, and his mechanics and footwork looks completely broken.
26. New York Giants Quarterback Daniel Jones

Last Week: 29/40, 72.5%, 281 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 91/144, 63.2%, 881 yds, 4 TD, 3 INT
What a difference a number-one receiver makes. Daniel Jones still isn’t very good. But, Malik Nabers gives him a reliable outlet on the entire route tree, and his productivity has been respectable.
25. Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Anthony Richardson

Last Week: 3/4, 75.0%, 71 yds, 0 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 39/77, 50.6%, 654 yds, 3 TD, 6 INT
Richardson was off to a great start in Sunday’s win over the Steelers before suffering a hip pointer injury. Ultimately, it was something to build off of, but he needs to stay healthy, get more accurate, and start cutting down on the turnovers if he wants to reach his potential.
24. Carolina Panthers Quarterback Andy Dalton

Last Week: 25/40, 62.5%, 220 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 51/78, 65.4%, 539 yds, 5 TD, 1 INT
Dalton continues to do a serviceable job after replacing a putrid Bryce Young in Carolina. Everyone knows he’s not the long-term solution there. But, competent quarterback play will help the rest of a young offense develop and takes steps forward for their future quarterback.
23. Las Vegas Raiders Quarterback Gardner Minshew

Last Week: 14/24, 58.3%, 130 yds, 0 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 87/123, 70.7%, 877 yds, 3 TD, 3 INT
Typically, you’d think that Minshew would have to have a big game for the Raiders to win, given how the roster is currently constructed. That wasn’t the case on Sunday, but Minshew managed the game enough for the Raiders to win. We all know what he is at this stage, a quarterback that’s more fun than good. But, teams could do a lot worse.
22. Chicago Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams

Last Week: 17/23, 73.9%, 157 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 87/141, 61.7%, 787 yds, 3 TD, 4 INT
After a solid second half in Week 3 against the Colts, Williams followed that up with a pretty solid performance in the team’s win over the Rams. The Bears were finally able to run the ball, which helped Williams significantly. If he builds off of that performance, he could skyrocket up the rankings.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Justin Fields

Last Week: 22/34, 64.7%, 312 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 77/109, 70.6%, 830 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT
Don’t let this ranking fool you, as there are a lot of quarterbacks interchangeable in this range right now. Justin Fields had one of the best passing games of his career in Sunday’s loss to the Colts. He had to play from behind for the first time in Pittsburgh, and moved the ball effectively the entire second half.
20. Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts

Last Week: 18/30, 60.0%, 158 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 90/132, 68.2%, 930 yds, 4 TD, 4 INT
Simply put, the former MVP candidate is just not sharp right now. Whether that’s due to a regression in skills, play-calling by Nick Sirianni and Kellen Moore, or a combination of both, Hurts has taken a real step back this year.
19. Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love

Last Week: 32/54, 59.3%, 389 yds, 4 TD, 3 INT
Season Stats: 49/88, 55.7%, 649 yds, 6 TD, 4 INT
After missing two games with a lower leg injury, Love came out an laid a goose-egg in the first half against the Vikings. But, he settled in, and threw four touchdown passes in the last 30:15 of the game. the second-half was certainly something to build off of as he makes his way back from injury, even if the cocmeback bid fell short.
18. Arizona Cardinals Quarterback Kyler Murray

Last Week: 16/22, 72.7%, 142 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 75/108, 69.4%, 777 yds, 6 TD, 1 INT
The quarterbacks ranked from around 11-22 are all pretty interchangeable, but Kyler Murray ends up down here in 18th due to a poor performance in a blowout loss to the Commanders. The offense didn’t do much of anything after a touchdown on their first drive. Kyler is in the midst of a good season, but Sunday showed off some of his limitations.
17. Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Kirk Cousins

Last Week: 21/35, 60.0%, 238 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 77/119, 64.7%, 864 yds, 4 TD, 4 INT
Derek Carr outplayed Kirk Cousins in the Falcons’ Week 4 win over the Saints. Ultimately, Cousins found a way to lead his team to victory, and if he keeps getting healthier, he could significantly improve.
16. New Orleans Saints Quarterback Derek Carr

Last Week: 28/36, 77.8%, 239 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 72/100, 72.0%, 824 yds, 6 TD, 3 INT
Carr came back to earth in a Week 3 loss to the Eagles, but was more like the guy that lit up the league in Week 4. He’s on pace for one of the best years of his career in a year where quarterback stats are down year-wide.
15. Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott

Last Week: 22/27, 81.5%, 221 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 96/149, 64.4%, 1072 yds, 6 TD, 2 INT
The Cowboys needed to beat the Giants to prevent a potential spiraling of their season, and they did just that last Thursday night. Right now, Dallas doesn’t have a running game to think of, so Dak Prescott is being asked to carry much of the load. While he’s not playing as good as last year, he’s been accurate and on time and is playing as one of the league’s better signal-ccallers.
14. New York Jets Quarterback Aaron Rodgers

Last Week: 24/42, 57.1%, 225 yds, 0 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 82/128, 64.1%, 849 yds, 5 TD 1 INT
The Jets offense had made considerable progress with Rodgers under center in weeks 2 and 3, but a 10-9 loss was a big step back. What’s worse, Rodgers was seen limping around at the end of the game. The arm talent is still almost at the level it’s always been for Rodgers. But, he’s lost mobility, and it appears some durability has also been lost.
13. Seattle Saehawks Quarterback Geno Smith

Last Week: 38/56, 67.9%, 395 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 115/159, 72.3%, 1182 yds, 4 TD, 4 INT
Don’t let the TD:INT ratio fool you, Geno Smith is throwing the ball as well as he ever has. On a night where Jared Goff stole the show, Smith moved the ball efficiently all night long. The Seahawk offense is for real, and he’s the main reason why.
12. Los Angeles Rams Quarterback Matthew Stafford

Last Week: 20/29, 69.0%, 224 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 89/130, 68.5%, 978 yds, 2 TD, 2 INT
After pulling a Houdini act in Week 3 against the 49ers, Stafford didn’t have the same late-game magic against the Bears on Sunday. If Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp can come back soon, the three can try to save their season and overcome a bad defense.
11. Los Angeles Chargers Quarterback Justin Herbert

Last Week: 16/27, 59.3%, 179 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 59/91, 64.8%, 578 yds, 5 TD, 1 INT
The downfield passing game just isn’t there for this team quite yet as their young wide receivers continue to develop. In the meantime, the ultra-talented Herbert keeps turning lemons into lemonade in the Chargers’ passing game.
10. Minnesota Vikings Quarterbacck Sam Darnold

Last Week: 20/28, 71.4%, 275 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 73/106, 68.9%, 932 yds, 11 TD, 3 INT
If you’re not on the Sam Darnold bandwagon yet, it’s time to hop on. All the talent that made him the third-overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft out of USC is being maximized by head coach Kevin O’Connell. The Vikings are 4-0, largely due to his play, and it stands to reason that he could continue to improve in the first good situation he’s played in in his career.
9. San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Brock Purdy

Last Week: 15/27, 55.6%, 288 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 84/122, 68.9%, 1130 yds, 5 TD, 2 INT
Purdy has picked up right where left off last year in terms of being effective in the intermediate passing game. That allows the 49ers to pick up consistent chunks of yards with Purdy’s exceptional anticipation and ball placement being a big key. His play in the clutch leaves something to be desired, but he’s moving the ball as well as anyone.
8. Detroit Lions Quarterback Jared Goff

Last Week: 18/18, 100.0%, 292 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 88/124, 71.0%, 1015 yds, 5 TD, 4 INT
Goff rebounded from early-season struggles with a perfect game on Monday night, not throwing an incompletion. Of course, that’s unsustainable. But, Goff staying put as one of the league’s ten best quarterbacks is sustainable.
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Quarterback Baker Mayfield

Last Week: 30/47, 63.8%, 347 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 91/129, 70.5%, 984 yds, 8 TD, 2 INT
The Week 3 outing against the Broncos was disastrous. But, Baker sliced and diced the Philadelphia defense in Week 4. His career renaissance story is one of the cooler ones in the history of the position.
6. Washington Commanders Quarterback Jayden Daniels

Last Week: 26/30, 86.7%, 233 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 87/106, 82.1%, 897 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT
Daniels led the Commanders on an insane 17 consecutive scoring drives before they were finally stopped on Sunday in a blowout win against the Cardinals. Simply put, he’s having one of the great starts to a career in NFL history. The completion percentage will surely come back to earth, but expect him to continue to excel.
5. Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson

Last Week: 13/18, 72.2%, 156 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 72/108, 66.7%, 858 yds, 5 TD, 1 INT
Those stats may not jump off the page. But, Jackson may be throwing the ball more efficiently than he ever has in the early part of this year. His accuracy has seen an uptick, and he’s doing a fine job of taking what the defense is giving him. If those two things continue to combine with his insane talent, he will get himself in the conversation for a second-straight MVP.
4. Houston Texans QB CJ Stroud

Last Week: 27/40, 67.5%, 345 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 94/139, 67.6%, 1054 yds, 6 TD, 2 INT
A Week 3 blip was followed up by the kind of performance that is quickly becoming vintage for CJ Stroud in just year 2. Few have looked more comfortable in the pocket at the age Stroud is at in NFL history.
3. Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow

Last Week: 22/31, 71.0%, 232 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 95/134, 70.9%, 978 yds, 7 TD, 1 INT
The Bengals are 1-3, and I feel like that’s covering up just how well Joe Burrow is playing. Burrow, along with CJ Stroud, are the league’s two best pure pocket passers right now. With his full compliment of weapons back, expect more performances like the kinds he’s had the last two weeks against Washington and Carolina.
2. Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes

Last Week: 19/29, 65.5%, 245 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
Season Stats: 83/121, 68.6%, 904 yds, 6 TD / 5 INT
Patrick Mahomes is making more mistakes than he’s made in his entire career when it comes to taking care of the ball. It’s got to change, and it’s going to cost the Chiefs a game eventually. But, as he’s proved time after time in his career, there’s no one you’d rather have to get you points when it matters most. How could you rank that guy any lower than this. I sure can’t.
1. Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen

Last Week: 16/29, 55.2%, 180 yds, 0 TD, 0 INT
Season Stats: 70/101, 69.3%, 814 yds, 7 TD / 0 INT
The Bills suffered a setback in a blowout loss to the Ravens to fall to 3-1. But, for years, the biggest critique on Josh Allen was that he threw too many interceptions. Through four games, he hasn’t thrown any, and he remains the MVP favorite. He played well against the Ravens, all things considered, as poor coaching choices by Sean McDermott put he and the offense behind the 8-ball.
