The NFL Draft is in the books. These players are perfect fits for their respective teams.

With The 4th Pick, The Patriots Select LSU OT Will Campbell

The Patriots needed to find someone to protect franchise quarterback Drake Maye. They got that guy in Will Campbell. He may never be elite, but he’s definitely going to be solid, and that will go a long way in keeping Maye upright.

With The 13th Pick, The Dolphins Select Michigan DT Kenneth Grant

The Miami Dolphins needed to get bigger and tougher up front on both sides of the ball. Grant, a massive run-stuffing defensive tackle, was a big step towards doing just that.

With The 15th Pick, The Falcons Select Georgia LB Jalon Walker

The Atlanta pass rush was putrid last year as the trade for Matthew Judon did not work out. They’re getting a guy in Jalon Walker that can line up all over the field and get pressure on the quarterback, which is exactly what they needed.

With The 16th Pick, The Cardinals Select Ole Miss DT Walter Nolen

The Cardinals have come a long way in their rebuild, but needed to add high-upside players on the front four of the defense. That’s exactly what Nolen is. It may take a year or two, but he has All-Pro upside in a best-case scenario, and should grow into a Pro Bowler.

With The 23rd Pick, The Packers Select Texas WR Matthew Golden

Christian Watson can’t stay healthy, and the Packers need someone to stretch the field. Matthew Golden, a sub-4.3 guy in the 40, is going to fill that role nicely, and should’ve be effective on crossing routes as well.

With The 37th Pick, The Dolphins Select Arizona OL Jonah Savaiinaea

Remember how I said the Dolphins needed to get better in the trenches? Drafting a Day One starter at guard in Jonah Savaiinaea will help them do just that.

With The 38th Pick, The Patriots Select Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson

The Patriots need playmakers on offense in the worst way. Henderson, who has long been one of the most dangerous players in the country, is a threat both in the running game as well as a pass-catcher, something the Patriots desperately need.

With The 55th Pick, The Chargers Select Ole Miss WR Tre Harris

Tre Harris would’ve gone in the first round had he stayed healthy during the 2024 season. The Chargers need playmakers on the outside, and Harris fits that bill.

With The 69th Pick, The Patriots Select Washington State WR Kyle Williams

Kyle Williams was a steal at this pick, and the Patriots also need playmakers. He’s going to be a contributor right from the start for New England, and this was a great pick.

With The 83rd Pick, The Steelers Select Iowa RB Kaleb Johnson

Pittsburgh has long been a franchise that prides itself on tough, physical running. Enter Kaleb Johnson. Johnson is a tough, physical runner with great vision and balance that will be able to grind out tough yards in the AFC North and keep the chains moving. He’s not a home run hitter, but that’s not what Pittsburgh was looking for.
