The NFL Scouting Combine can make or break a player’s draft stock. these ten players saw huge increases in their draft stock at the combine.

Defensive Lineman Shemar Stewart

The production didn’t always match the talent for Stewart at Texas A&M. But, he scored a perfect Relative Athletic Score of 10.00, running a 4.59 40 with 29 bench reps at 6-foot-5 281lb. He will be a Day 1 pick in next month’s draft.

The Virginia Tech Hokie was a breakout star at the combine. He ran a 4.32, and put up huge numbers in the other events as his stock skyrocketed. It’s a loaded running back class, but he could go on Day 2 after being considered a Day 3 guy.

The Kentucky product showed off incredible athleticism, running a 4.28 40, and jumping 40 inches on the vertical jump and 11 feet on the broad jump. He may have played himself into the first round.

Defensive Back Nick Emmanwori

Emmanwori, a safety, ran a solid 4.38. But, where he really stood out was in the jumps, jumping 43 inches in the vertical jump and 11’5″ in the broad jump. He may be the top safety in the draft now after an incredible performance.

Offensive Lineman Armand Membou

Membou hasn’t turned 21 yet, but the Missouri tackle stunned at the combine. He ran a blazing 4.91, which is ridiculous at his size. That, plus his other testing numbers, have him positioned as possibly the first offensive lineman off the board.

Quarterback Kyle McCord

The former Ohio State Buckeye turned Syracuse quarterback didn’t do the timed athletic tests. But, he dazzled in the throwing drills, drawing rave reviews. He is making a push to be QB3.

Wide Receiver Matthew Golden

Golden was mighty productive this year at Texas, and he backed that up with great testing numbers. He broke 4.3 in the 40, and had impressive jumping numbers of 41 inches in the vertical jump and 11’2″ in the broad jump. He looked great in the drills too, and probably played himself into the first round.

Defensive Back Jahdae Barron

Barron won the Jim Thorpe last year as the nation’s best defensive back, and he picked up right where he left off at the combine. He answered questions about his athleticism with flying colors, going sub 4.4 in the 40 and dominating the drills. He projects as a high-end, versatile defensive back in the NFL and has put himself into the first round.

Linebacker Jihaad Campbell

Campbell is my favorite player in the draft, and his film at Alabama was tremendous. He backed up the film with a great performance in Indianapolis that saw him run a 4.52 40 and show off fantastic mobility throughout the drills. If he falls out of the first round , it will be a travesty.

Offensive Lineman Grey Zabel

Nobody knows what position North Dakota State OL Grey Zabel is going to play in the NFL. But, he showed the athleticism to play everywhere during the combine, jumping a ridiculous 36.5 inches in the vertical leap at 312lb. That’s something that NFL teams love to see out of offensive linemen, even though they obviously never do that in games. He could be a top 50 pick next month.
