The MLB season is nearly here for 28 of the 30 teams, with the Dodgers and Cubs kicking off the season in Japan last week. These ten prospects have a chance to make a huge impact on the MLB season.

Los Angeles Dodgers P Roki Sasaki

This one is self-explanatory. One of the world’s best young pitchers along with Pittsburgh’s Paul Skenes has dominated the competition in his native Japan. Now, he enters MLB with stuff that can match anyone in the league. Expect Sasaki to be an All Star and potential Cy Young

Boston Red Sox OF Roman Anthony

A revamped Red Sox roster is projected by many to make the playoffs, and Anthony is a big reason why. He will likely be up in the Majors before June, and the five-tool outfielder should be an instead sparkplug for the Sox.

Detroit Tigers P Jackson Jobe

Pitching is the strength of the Detroit Tigers, and Jackson Jobe is only going to help. The 22-year-old flamethrower made his debut late last season, and he will be in the rotation for the Tigers to start the year. He’s got dominant stuff and should be a rookie of the year candidate.

New York Mets P Brandon Sproat

The Mets lineup is loaded, but the starting rotation leaves something to be desired as they wait for young pitching prospects to make the leap. Enter Sproat, the best prospect out of all of those young arms. The former Florida Gator has electric stuff and should slot into the Mets rotation sometime after the All-Star Break, hopefully as the final piece for a World Series title.

New York Yankees OF Jasson Dominguez

“The Martian” was billed as a five-tool player when the Yankees signed him as an international free agent. His sprint speed has declined significantly, but he still offers real upside both at the plate and in the field. The Yankees are going to need to find offense and athleticism this year, and he can provide both.

Pittsburgh Pirates P Bubba Chandler

Paul Skenes is the best young pitcher in baseball. But, the team will be without Jared Jones all year, and will need Chandler, a superstar pitching prospect in the mold of Spencer Strider, to make a huge impact at some point this year if they want to stay competitive in the NL Central.

Philadelphia Phillies P Andrew Painter

Painter hasn’t pitched an an official minor league game since 2022 due to Tommy John surgery in 2023. But, the former top pitching prospect in baseball looked fantastic in the Arizona Fall League. The towering pitcher will likely be up somtime past the All-Star Game, and coud provide a boost for the Phillies.

Los Angeles Dodgers C Dalton Rushing

Yes, the Dodgers are invested heavily in star catcher Will Smith. But, Rushing is simply too talented to ignore, especially at the plate. Expect him to be a late-season call-up that gets some crucial at-bats in the Pennant run.

Chicago Cubs OF Owen Caissie

The Cubs have an outstanding farm system right now, andn Caissie is one of the highlights. Assuming his defense improves this year, He offers the ability for the Cubs to call up an outfielder with instant pop that could put them over the top in the NL Central race.

Seattle Mariners SS Cole Young

Many think that Young, who has the ability to be a league-average glove at shortstop and an above-average contact hitter, won’t come up until 2026. But, the Mariners, who have incredible pitching, are dreadful on offense. Expect them to give Young a chance at some point this year to prove he can hit Major League pitching and give the offense a boost.
