The 2025 NFL Draft is just one day away, and, as always, the quarterbacks are a big story. These ten teams will be looking for a quarterback, though not necessarily to be a starter. As we’ve seen in recent years, there is huge value in bringing in a quality backup.
Tennessee Titans

The Titans won’t be looking for long. They’re set to take Miami QB Cam Ward with the top pick in the draft on Thursday.
Cleveland Browns

The Browns, who have the #2 overall pick, seem unlikely to take a quarterback at that spot. But, they desperate need one, and could trade into the back of the first round or get one down the line.
New York Giants

Like the Browns, the Giants, who hold pick #3, are unlikely to take a quarterback at that spot. But, they certainly need one, and will definitely use a pick on one at some point.
Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders, who pick sixth, may reach for a quarterback at that spot, though it seems unlikely. But, they’ve got to be looking for one during the draft at some point.
New Orleans Saints

Derek Carr is likely out for the season, meaning that the incumbent starter is *gulp* Spencer Rattler. They’ve got to upgrade over that, and maybe even get their quarterback of the future.
Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys?! No, Dallas haters, it’s not to replace Dak Prescott. But, right now, they only have two rosterable quarterbacks with an injury-prone starter. They will need to get someone to compete with Joe Milton for the backup job.
Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have been good when Tua Tagovailoa is healthy. But, when he’s not, the backup situation has been awful. They brought in Zach Wilson, but they don’t wanna just hand the backup job to him. Expect a late-round pick.
Seattle Seahawks

Yes, they signed Sam Darnold, but it’s a short-term commitment in case it doesn’t work out. In the meantime, they need to get some youth in their quarterback room.
Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers desperately need a franchise quarterback. It feels like if Shedeur Sanders is still on the board for them at pick 21, he could come off the board.

Matthew Stafford is aging, and so is Jimmy Garoppolo, for that matter. The Rams are going to inject some youth into the quarterback room at some point during the draft.
