The Major League Baseball season is here, and these ten teams can all win the World Series.
Atlanta Braves

Last year’s injury-plagued, disappointing season made some forget that this is one of the best cores in all of baseball. A healthy Spencer Strider will make his season debut in April after Tommy John surgery last year, and Ronald Acuna will be back from a torn ACL from last season. The Braves can hit up and down the lineup, and Strider can anchor a great rotation.
Texas Rangers

2024 was a bit of a hangover for the Texas Rangers after winning the World Series in 2023. But, much of that core, led by Corey Seager, is still there. And, Jacob DeGrom seems healthier than he has in years. When he’s healthy, he’s the best pitcher in baseball. The AL is wide open, and they’re good enough to win the pennant.
New York Mets

The Mets have the best roster the team has had since 2006, and it starts with a loaded offense that features an incredible quartet of Francisco Lindor, Pete Alonso, Mark Vientos, and Juan Soto, who signed the largest contract in American pro sports history with the Mets this summer. The starting rotation is a bit of a question mark, though reinforcements are coming through the minor leagues. The Mets are probably the second-most likely team to win it all.
Baltimore Orioles

The Orioles’ young core really struggled in the second half of the season last year. But, these guys have players with star potential all over the field and have the best roster in the American League. They just need to put it all together.
Los Angeles Dodgers

There isn’t much to say here. They’re loaded at every position. They’re the best organization in baseball. If they lose a playoff series it will be a huge upset.
Houston Astros

The Astros may not have the star power they’ve had in the past. But, this is one of the best-run franchises in baseball with great pitching and some pop in the lineup. Given the weakness of the NL, they could absolutely play in the Fall Classic.
Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox are a sleeper team that could absolutely find themselves in the midst of a playoff run. They made crucial additions like Alec Bregman and Garrett Crochet, and may have the best farm system in baseball with impact players that will likely be called up this year. Coupled with the game’s best manager in Alex Cora, and you’ve got a winning formula.
Seattle Mariners

The Mariners cannot hit at all. But, they have by far the best rotation in the AL, headlined by George Kirby. If pitching wins games, they’re going to win a ton of them. No one wants to see this rotation in a playoff series.
Philadelphia Phillies

Their embarrassing playoff loss to the Mets that featured numerous bullpen meltdowns overshadowed a team that was the best in baseball for much of the year last year. They are a complete team on paper, and it wouldn’t be surprising to anyone to see them win the World Series.
New York Yankees

They lost some starpower with Juan Soto moving on and with Gerrit Cole needed Tommy John surgery. But, the Yankees are much deeper than last year, and still have the best hitter in baseball in Aaron Judge. They are the favorites in the AL.
