Game Analysis:
The Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2) are set to face the Washington Commanders (7-2) this Sunday. The Commanders, leading the NFC East, are coming off a 27-22 victory over the New York Giants, marking their best start since 1996. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has been incredible, throwing for 209 yards and two touchdowns in the recent win. Additionally, Washington bolstered their defense by acquiring star cornerback Marshon Lattimore from the New Orleans Saints before the trade deadline, aiming to strengthen their pass defense.
The Steelers, currently on a three-game winning streak, are coming off a bye week and previously secured a 26-18 victory over the New York Giants. Quarterback Russell Wilson, in his second start for Pittsburgh, threw for 278 yards and a touchdown in that game. The Steelers’ defense, led by T.J. Watt, has been unstoppable, with Watt recording a game-changing strip-sack fumble recovery against the Giants in their last game. Pittsburgh’s defense will be tested against Washington’s balanced offensive attack, while their offense looks to challenge a Commanders’ defense that has been upgraded with the addition of Lattimore.
