Nyeem Powell just turned 12 years old and he already stands 6-feet tall, 340 pounds. When he lines up on the football field, it’s hard to fathom his size advantage over opponents.

To put things into context, the average height and weight for a boy of Nyeem’s age is 4.75 to 5.5 feet tall, and 70 to 135 pounds.
Powell’s size is so difficult to comprehend that parents across Philadelphia immediately assume that the West Philly Panthers are cheating. They are not— Powell’s birthday was on Aug. 7, which is just seven days after the league’s July deadline.
It’s not clear what exactly sparked Powell’s growth spurt, but his mom revealed that he was often bullied for his size before he developed his skills on the gridiron. His mother, Rashaanah Conix Powell, also says that he is a humble kid and a big teddy bear who wants to be a role model for children like him.
“Nyeem had low esteem about his weight because people used to tease him on and off the field,” she said to DailyMail. “But through playing better he has developed more confidence to overcome those negative remarks from others. He learned how to get through it and take out on the field.”
There is no doubt that he takes out his anger on the field. Powell is an absolute animal with a lot of potential to play the game on the highest level.
He is a one-man wrecking crew who plays both offensive and defensive line, pancaking his opponents on offense and ripping ball-carriers to the ground on defense.

Powell will play wit the West Philly Panthers until he turns 15. He will join a different age group each year, but it won’t matter.
Regardless of who Powell faces, nobody is getting in his way of being the next Reggie White. What a beast!
