One of the more amusing storylines leading up to the most recent NFL Draft revolved around former Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett and his supposedly tiny hands.
Only time will tell if the 8.5″ mitt that was measured at the combine will serve as a detriment for the man who was ultimately scooped up by the Steelers, but based on the many conversations the news was able to spark, the small appendage could be a big red flag.
There aren’t really any other sports that share that same kind of fascination with hand size, so while I can’t give you a specific number when it comes to Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, it’s safe to say he probably dwarfs Pickett based on a picture that went viral during Monday nights game between the Orioles and the Bronx Bombers.
Judge hit the first of the two home runs he knocked out of the park during the losing effort in the bottom of the first inning. After completing his trot around the bases, the 6’7″ slugger decided to hydrate in the dugout, where a camera caught his hand absolutely dwarfing the water bottle he was holding.

The thin nature of the Poland Spring bottle he was drinking likely skewed the perspective a bit (the bottom tends to crumple inward if you suck the contents down as he appeared to be doing), and based on the design, it may have been of the 12 oz. variety as opposed to a more common 20 oz.
However, plenty of people were still pretty blown away by a photo that gave off some “Andre the Giant holding a beer can” vibes (while others jumped at the opportunity to joke about Pickett).
