Aaron Rodgers’ achilles appears to be at or close to full strength! The future Hall of Fame quarterback spent his Monday out in the wilderness with famous outdoorsman Cameron Hanes and held his own.
Hanes, a self-proclaimed “bowhunting athlete” who “trains intensively each and every day to become the Ultimate Predator,” has nearly 500,000 subscribers on YouTube and 1.6 million followers on Instagram. Much of his content is obviously based around hunting.
The ‘Lift, Run, Shoot’ series is his most popular and the concept is as simple as it sounds. Hanes and a guest lift weights, go for a run through the wilderness, and shoot a bow. Rodgers was his most recent guest.
Although the full video has yet to be released, a snippet from their day together went viral online. New York’s veteran signal-caller shot a compound bow for the first time and immediately dialed-in with a close grouping near the bullseye.
It makes sense that an NFL quarterback would have the strength and eyesight to be a natural. His first showing with the bow is still very impressive!

That was the ‘Shoot’ portion of the day.
They also hit the weight room to get a pump in. Rodgers looked absolutely jacked while on the bench. Especially for someone who just turned 40!
Perhaps most importantly, Rodgers’ achilles is at its strongest point since the rupture in September. He and Hanes ventured out into the wild for a strenuous hike on a backwoods trail instead of the actual ‘Run.’ Snow started to fall as they reached the summit, which made for a pretty cool visual.
All-in-all, according to Hanes, Aaron Rodgers was dominant in all three disciplines.
The full video is set for release in the coming weeks and will provide a much better understanding of Rodgers’ rehab. To see a photo of him out on the trail is one thing. To actually see him work his achilles on strenuous terrain is another!
