Last week, Aaron Rodgers was the subject of a very surprising report.
According to The Athletic’s Kalyn Kahler, Rodgers expected the Green Bay Packers offense to know around 30 hand signals without every being taught the signals.
Aaron Rodgers expects his offense to know somewhere around 30 hand signals. Every Sat players are tested on them, but the tricky part is the signals aren't officially taught, there's no real record of them, & Rodgers often revives signal from yrs before. https://t.co/k4g4v7x1AW pic.twitter.com/kKwlFtQGxl

Today, he fired back at that report during his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, calling it the dumbest article of the season.
They wrote A LOT about your hand signals Aaron.

It is by far the dumbest, nothing burger article that I’ve read in the entire season. Ninety-five percent of the article is complete horses–t.
Rodgers also explained that he isn’t even the player who picks out the team’s signals every week. it is actually Jordan Love that picks the signals and Rodgers said that each of the signals is used in practice during the week.
The way we do it now, is Jordan [Love] makes up a list of the signals that we’re going to have that week that are possible. I used to do this when I was the backup as well. He calls like three or four guys up there to go through them. It might be nerve-wracking the first time you do it, but every signal that is used in the game is probably used in practice that week.
Whatever it is that’s actually going on with the Green Bay Packers and their signals, those signals seemed to be working last night as they scored 3 touchdowns against the Rams to keep their playoff hopes alive.
