Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson has the potential to be one of the most dangerous quarterback-wide receiver connections in the NFL. But they will both have to get on the same page if the New York Jets are going to reach expectations.

There are some kinks to be worked out before the regular season begins in September!

Fortunately, that is what the preseason is for. Rodgers and Wilson have a very good rapport with each other that dates back to last year. It allows them to be completely open and honest without judgement or resentment.

The Jets’ high-profile duo got training camp started with an absolute bomb that sent fans into a frenzy. Their connection, according to boots on the ground, is on another level. Things are going well.

However, they were not thinking the same during practice on Saturday and it led to a heated exchange between them. A batted pass started the sequence of events.

Not long thereafter, Wilson and Rodgers talked it over on the sideline. It was pretty tense. There was some yelling back and forth. There was some finger pointing. They got up in each other’s face.

Although it was a fiery conversation, both Rodgers and Wilson cracked a smile and the latter ultimately cleared the air by dapping up the former.

It was not the only time that the two biggest offensive stars in New York shared words!

A lot of people saw both of these clips as negative. Trouble in paradise?! Already?!

Rather, the opposite. This is a great sign for Jets fans. This is exactly what a relationship between star quarterback and star receiver should look like. Accountability is key and RGIII agrees.

“Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson got in a heated discussion during practice?!?

GOOD.

Teammates have to be willing to challenge each other to find greatness.

This is leadership from 2 guys that have Super Bowl on their mind and want it right now. I LOVE THIS.”

There is an expectation for New York to win, now. Aaron Rodgers will not be around much longer. He’s getting paid a lot of money. Garrett Wilson is a first-round pick in his third year. It’s time to go!
