Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers may be preparing for what may prove to be his final NFL game, but there’s still a part of his mind that’s on his former team, the New York Jets.
While speaking to the media this week, Aaron Rodgers took a shot at the New York Jets, who he played for in 2023 and 2024. According to Rodgers, “there aren’t any leaks” with the Steelers, which is “the antithesis” of his previous organization.
Aaron Rodgers says the Steelers’ organization doesn’t have any leaks and that it’s the antithesis of the New York Jets
“There aren’t any leaks in the boat… the antithesis of where I was. To go through a season like this and being able to focus on football has been really nice,” Rodgers said when speaking to the media this week ahead of the Steelers’ Wild Card Round matchup against the Houston Texans.
Beyond the fact that Rodgers’ camp was very likely responsible for the leaks within the Jets’ organization, he’s also ignoring the fact that he’s extending a courtesy to the Steelers that he never gave to the Jets, and that’s not appearing on The Pat McAfee Show every week to air out the team’s dirty laundry.
“YOU CAUSED 95% OF THE OFF-FIELD DRAMA YOU INOCULATED EGOMANIAC!” one Jets fan replied.
“Never in my LIFE have I seen a grown man cry about about a team he was a huge problem of for the way they played,” a second summarized.
Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers enter Monday night’s Wild Card Round matchup against the Houston Texans as 3-point underdogs.
In his first and potentially only season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Rodgers completed 65.7% of his passes for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
