Earlier this week, we brought you the story that the FAA is investigating multiple sightings of giant drones that have been spotted flying over Staten Island and New Jersey. Lo and behold, famed researcher and New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is on the case.
During his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, Aaron Rodgers asked Pat McAfee and his gang if they heard what’s going on in New Jersey, labeling the stories about these drones as “crazy things.”
Rodgers, 41 years old, is coming off his best game as a member of the New York Jets as he threw for over 300 yards for the first time since December 2021. The Jets lost, however, dropping their record to 3-10 and officially eliminating them from playoff contention for the 14th straight season.
“Do you know what’s been going on in New Jersey lately? And I’m not talking about the football. There’s been some crazy things going on,” Rodgers said as McAfee’s production cued up a video of the alleged drones. McAfee suggested it was a helicopter while co-host and perpetual floating head AJ Hawk said it was an airplane.
“Here we go. Look at this, cued up. What the hell is that? … That’s large. What is that? … I’ve seen that video. Bedminster, that’s home to [predident elect Donald] Trump’s golf course and our owner, Woody Johnson. So who knows, maybe those guys are…” Rodgers said, according to NJ.com.
“There’s other videos that I’ve seen and I’ve talked to some friends of mine, a police officer — shout out, Mario — there’s some interesting things going on. Interesting things going on with the drones. Maybe it’s just some kids messing around … maybe not, though.”

In 13 games this season, Rodgers has completed 63.1% of his passes for 2,966 yards, 20 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. The Jets’ final four games of the season will be against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.
