A new unauthorized biography about controversial New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is set to shed some light on the alleged details of his personal life, including his infamously icy relationship with his own family.

In the new book Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers written by sports journalist Ian O’Connor, the writer claims that Aaron Rodgers became estranged from his parents because his mother disapproved of both his having premarital sex and his girlfriend Olivia Munn’s openness about the sexual aspects of their relationship.

Rodgers and Munn dated from 2014 to 2017, when the four-time NFL MVP was playing for the Green Bay Packers. The 40-year-old quarterback has yet to address the claims made in the book, which will be published on August 20.

“Given her devout religious views, Aaron’s mother disapproved of premarital sex and was opposed to her middle child sharing a hotel room with his girlfriend even as an NFL player. Darla did not appreciate how Munn joked about oral sex in an interview or how she publicly talked about her sex life with Aaron just before that loss at Buffalo,” O’Connor writes in the book, according to the Daily Mail.

In addition to Munn, Rodgers has dated actress Jessica Szohr, NASCAR driver and fellow conspiracy theorist Danica Patrick, actress Shailene Woodley, a “spiritual healer” known as Blu of Earth (allegedly), and Mallory Edens, the daughter of the owner of the Milwaukee Bucks.

As for Munn, the actress has also had relationships with actors Bryan Greenberg, Chris Pine, Matthew Morrison, Joel Kinnaman, NHL player Brad Richards, and businessman Tucker Roberts. In November 2021, she welcomed her first child with comedian John Mulaney.
