Aaron Rodgers Is Seemingly Realizing That Robert Saleh Is A Bad Head Coach

The New York Jets fell to 2-2 on Sunday due to a 10-9 home loss to the Denver Broncos.

More worrying than the loss itself, however, is the way the Jets played — sloppy, uninspired, unimaginative, ill-prepared — and how increasingly difficult it’s becoming to ignore the very obvious problem they have with their coaching staff.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, however, may finally be catching on to Robert Saleh’s shortcomings, as he made some comments in direct opposition to his head coach while speaking to reporters.

Speaking to the media after the disgusting loss to the Broncos, Rodgers openly disagreed with his head coach’s assessment of how they can fix their offensive issues.

The Jets, as they have been every season under Saleh, have been wildly undisciplined, leading to numerous penalties, including pre-snap penalties on the offensive line.

“We gotta figure it out, whether or not we’re good enough… or ready to handle all of the cadence. Cadence had not been an issue all camp. Felt like our operation had been operating pretty good. Obviously, today took a major step back,” Saleh said.

“Just a lot of pre-snap penalties, which is unacceptable. That’s the stuff that we have to get that cleaned up… The pre-snap and post-snap penalties, those are the ones that are unacceptable.”

According to Saleh, one way to remedy that would be for the offensive to change the “cadence” of its snap count. Rodgers, however, not only disagreed but suggested that the actual fix would be for Saleh and his coaching staff to hold the offensive line accountable.

In Week 5, Rodgers and the Jets will head to London, England as underdogs as they take on Sam Darnold and the undefeated Minnesota Vikings. The Jets, of course, drafted Darnold with the third overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and nearly ruined him like they do every other quarterback they take out of college.

Through four games this season, Rodgers has completed 60% of his passes for 849 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Four of those touchdown passes, however, came against the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots, who are looking like two of the worst teams in the NFL after the first quarter of the 2024/25 campaign.
