Trade talks between the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers are ongoing and it almost feels like it’ll never end.

The NFL Draft might be the time an Aaron Rodgers deal finally comes to fruition, as Green Bay likely wants to ensure they receive draft capital.

Well, with that in mind, the latest rumors regarding Rodgers may have revealed the key for the Jets to finally pull off the trade.

Peter King of Pro Football Talk shared his opinion on how the trade may transpire between the Jets and Packers.

King claims, “The over/under date for the Aaron Rodgers trade is early evening April 28. That’s when the 2nd round of the NFL Draft begins. The Jets have 42nd and 43rd overall, and I’d bet one of those picks will be the key to this trade getting done.”

Other rumors claim the Packers want the Jets’ 13th pick overall in the draft. However, one (or both) of those picks in the second round could finalize a trade for Aaron Rodgers to play in New York.

We’re still several weeks away from the NFL Draft. So, hopefully, a deal comes to fruition before the end of April.

If not, well, then things would become interesting for Aaron Rodgers. In that instance, Green Bay would not have the draft capital they were hoping to acquire.

At the end of the day, all signs are pointing towards a deal eventually being done. All talk leading up to it is purely speculation.

With that said, keep an eye on Aaron Rodgers, as he could be shipped to New York at any moment.
