Aaron Rodgers led the New York Jets to their first win in over a month on Thursday night as Gang Green beat CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans by a score of 21-13 on Thursday Night Football.
Other than the win itself, the game was notable because, in the fourth quarter, the Jets offense — particularly the passing game with Aaron Rodgers, Garrett Wilson, and Davante Adams — seemed to finally come alive, scoring two touchdowns in the final frame to seal the victory.
For as eventful as the game was for Rodgers (three passing touchdowns), his postgame was equally headline-worthy, as he was both ignored by Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans and confronted by Thursday Night Football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick.
During the postgame handshakes at midfield, cameras caught Rodgers hovering behind Ryans, apparently waiting for a handshake. When Ryans eventually turned around, however, he did not even bother making eye contact with the controversial 40-year-old QB and instead walked right passed him.
Speculation on social media suggests that Ryans’ icy feelings toward Rodgers might have to do with the firing of Robert Saleh, whom Ryans is reportedly close with.

Then, during a postgame interview on Prime Video, Rodgers was confronted by former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, who — whilst wearing a singularly absurd Halloween costume — straight up asked Rodgers if they have beef.
“I’ve got two questions for you. Number one, I was pretty critical of you when you called out Mike Williams on the red line — are you mad at me?” Fitzpatrick asked.
“Aaron Rodgers wouldn’t say yes or no to Ryan Fitzpatrick, but his ignorance implied the latter. ‘What’d you say?’ Rodgers asked, garnering a laugh from the rest of the set. ‘I said why did you point the finger at poor Mike Williams?’ Fitzpatrick told Rodgers.” [via Awful Announcing]

In the Jets’ critical Week 9 Halloween night win over the Texans — their first win since beating the Patriots in Week 3 — Rodgers completed 22 of 32 passes for 211 yards and three touchdowns: two to Wilson and one to Adams.
