NBA commissioner Adam Silver did not seem happy with the lack of defensive effort displayed during Sunday’s NBA All-Star game.
Over the weekend, Silver believed that changing the format back from East vs West and cutting back on some of the musical performances would make this year’s All-Star more competitive.

“We’d gotten carried away a little bit with the entertainment aspect,” Silver told the media. “I think we’re going to see a good game tomorrow night.”
Unfortunately for Silver, the game was a blowout and the Eastern Conference broke the record for most points scored by an All-Star team.

After the game, fans noted that Silver appeared to look disgusted while congratulating the Eastern Conference for winning the game.
“To the Eastern Conference All-Stars. You scored the most points. Well, congratulations.”

Adam Silver: "To the Eastern Conference All-Stars. You scored the most points. Well, congratulations." Silver would never say this publicly be he had to hate that game. On Saturday he all but promised a more competitive, lower scoring game. Nope.

It’s currently unclear how the NBA plans to fix the All-Star game, something they have been saying for years, but it’s clear the league has hit rock bottom with the game this year.
