The Missouri football team hosts Alabama this Saturday fresh off a comeback win over Auburn on Homecoming weekend. QB Brady Cook’s resiliency didn’t go unnoticed by his upcoming opponent.
Crimson Tide defender Jah-Marien Latham applauded the passer’s effort while previewing the SEC matchup. He praised Cook for torching his rival in dramatic fashion!
The Tigers hosted Auburn looking to move to 6-1 on the season. That goal appeared in doubt when the home team entered the fourth quarter with a 17-6 deficit.
Making matters worse, Missouri had been playing much of the contest with a reserve signal caller after seeing Brady Cook go down with injury. Fortunately, he wouldn’t let the setback keep him off the field!
The quarterback checked himself out of the hospital before the game’s conclusion, returned to the action, and led a valiant come-from-behind effort.
A touchdown with 46 seconds left on the clock capped a game-winning 95-yard drive, helping Mizzou secure a 21-17 victory.
His heroics didn’t go unnoticed!
Alabama football players applauded Brady Cook for beating Auburn.
“That’s a dawg,” said Jah-Marien Latham. “I like that.”

The Crimson Tide will now try to do what Auburn couldn’t – beat the Tigers.
They will have the luxury of playing in Tuscaloosa, though the team continues to deal with its own struggles having lost two of three games in the month of October.
Alabama’s playoff hopes took a hit following a loss to Tennessee on Saturday, and the team’s come out hungry as they look to finish the year strong.
“Sense of urgency is definitely up now,” Latham said. “Knowing that the chances of getting to the playoff are slim.”
The Tide likely need to run the table in order to land one of the 12 postseason spots. That journey starts this week vs. Brady Cook and Missouri.
