If there’s one thing to know about Alabamians, it’s that they don’t mess around about their Alabama Crimson Tide football program. And that could spell bad news for head coach Kalen DeBoer.

DeBoer became the 28th head coach in program history in 2024 when he took over for retiring legend Nick Saban. His first season at the helm was a rocky one, as the Tide went just 9-4, missed the College Football Playoff, and lost in something called the Reliaquest Bowl to Michigan.

Things didn’t get much better to start year two, as Alabama lost its season-opening game to Florida State, 31-17, despite entering as sizable favorites.

Now it appears that DeBoer’s job is in serious jeopardy, especially if one Alabama woman has her way.

Alabama Woman Has Plan To Pay Kalen DeBoer’s Massive Buyout

The biggest thing preventing the Crimson Tide from parting ways with DeBoer at the moment is his contract. The head coach has approximately $63 million remaining on his contract, and Alabama would need to pay him that in full if he were fired without cause.

But have no fear, Bama fans! Susan Conerly of Guntersville, Alabama has a solution.

Conerly was interviewed as part of a recent local news broadcast about the estimated $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot. When asked what she would do with the money if she won, Conerly wasted no time.

“I’ll tell you exactly what I’d do with the first 70 million,” she said. “I’d pay off Kalen DeBoer and get him the heck out of the University of Alabama!”

But that’s not all! Susie also said she’d get rid of longtime Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne.

It’s safe to say that Bama fans are none too pleased with the current state of the Crimson Tide football program.
