Alan Bowman and Cam Rising are the two longest-tenured active quarterbacks in college football. They will play each other for the first time on Saturday.
It is a matchup with a combined age older than multiple games in the NFL this weekend.
Bowman and Rising were both ranked as three-star recruits in the Class of 2018. They started college at the same time as Trevor Lawrence, Brock Purdy, Zach Wilson and Will Levis.
Rising initially committed to Texas out of high school. His decision to transfer to Utah, in addition to a catastrophic knee injury, created an unusual four years of eligibility.

Multiple injuries kept Bowman from reaching his full potential in Lubbock, including a a collapsed lung, fractured rib, cracked collarbone, shoulder issues and an ankle sprain. The NCAA granted him with multiple medical redshirts because of the hardship, which ultimately allowed him to begin his first day of the 19th grade last month!
Alan Bowman was born on March 6, 2000. Cam Rising was born on May 13, 1999.
The combined age of the two starting quarterbacks in Saturday’s game between the Utes and Cowboys is 49 years old. Meanwhile, there is an NFL game scheduled for Sunday with younger signal-callers.
Caleb Williams is 22. Anthony Richardson is also 22.
Their combined age of 44 is five years less than the collegiate matchup set for Stillwater!
