In September of 2014, Alistair Overeem had lost 3 out of 4 fights and looked to be on his way out of the UFC. Fast forward over a year later, he’s now on 3 fight win streak and on the verge of a title shot after knocking out former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos.
Overeem was able to ko Dos Santos with this nasty left hook in the second round.
Considering Overeem’s exciting fighting style I wouldn’t doubt if he’s the next contender to fight the winner of the Werdum-Velasquez fight in February.
