Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark struggled to find a rhythm during their first two regular season WNBA games together. The Indiana Fever lost both games by a combined 57 points.

New York Liberty big Jonquel Jones wanted ALL the smoke during the game on Thursday night.

Boston did not appreciate how the seven-year veteran attacked her on defense in the first quarter. Jones committed a hard shooting foul in the paint and sent the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft to the line.

As soon as the whistle blew, Boston turned to Jones with a “get off of me” shove. That did not go over well with the latter. She got right up in the second-year player’s face with a look that could kill.

Jones, 30, is 6-foot-6, 215 pounds. Boston, 22, is 6-foot-5, 215. They are two of the strongest players in the entire league and a scrap between the two would be rather intense.

However, the officials and some of their teammates stepped in between them to break it up before it could escalate any further.

While being separated, Jones turned to Boston with some choice words. She said that she was going to “f— her up” and doubled down on the claim shortly thereafter.

Although the incident did not come to blows, Jones was ready to throw hands if asked. Boston was shook.

The beef between old heads and new faces in the WNBA has never been more clear. There is obvious tension between the two generations that continues to boil over both on and off of the court.

It’s a lot of fun!

Jonquel Jones and Aliyah Boston played physical throughout the entire night. New York’s veteran big got the best of Indiana’s young center with 10 rebounds and 14 points in a blowout win. The latter finished with 12 points and seven boards in the loss.
