The Cincinnati Bengals offensive line will look very different during the 2024 NFL season after the acquisitions of Trent Brown and Amarius Mims. They make Zack Moss look small in comparison.

That is a wild thing to say considering the size of the team’s new running back.

Moss, who played the first four years of his career in Buffalo and Indianapolis, joined Cincinnati on a two-year deal in March. He will immediately step into the starting role with Joe Mixon off to Houston.

The former Utah ball-carrier is not a small guy. Moss is listed at 5-foot-10, 215 pounds on the Bengals roster, which means he is probably closer to about 5-foot-9, 210. Either way, that’s a thick fella.

Mims and Brown walked with their new running back to the first day of training camp earlier this week. All three first-year guys made the trek to the practice facility together and Moss looked like a small child.

Amarius Mims is listed at 6-foot-8, 340 pounds as a 21-year-old rookie. Trent Brown is listed at 6-foot-8, 380 pounds as a 10-year veteran at age 31. They are two of the largest players in the league.

Zack Moss is not nearly that big but he’s not small! And yet both of his new hog mollies have him beat by at least 10 inches and 130 pounds. At least!!

It is always astonishing to see an NFL offensive lineman’s freakish size in perspective. Moss is taller — and heavier — than the average American male but you would never know when he’s alongside the big uglies.

Cincinnati has high hopes for the 2024 season with the return of Joe Burrow from injury. The Bengals, Chiefs and Bills will once again contend for an AFC title. Mims, Brown and Moss should all be very important pieces to how things will shake out in that conference!
