WNBA superstar Angel Reese wasn’t shy when taking an apparent shot at former basketball wives star Draya Michele on the most recent episode of her podcast.
On the episode, Reese spoke with Kiyan Anthony, the 17-year-old son of future Basketball Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony and one of the top basketball prospects in the country.
Reese and Anthony discussed several topics, but the one that stood out the most was how Anthony should handle his love life with his newfound fame.
During episode nine of her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, the WNBA Rookie of the Year runner-up told Anthony to be wary about women who show interest in him in the coming years.
“When you go to the league.. even when you’re in college, you need to be careful with these women,” she said. “One slip up—you be seeing these stories? Don’t do it. You’re 17. It’s the women that’s a lot older than you that you got to worry about.”
Of course, her comment brought one name to mind for fans of the NBA.

For those who don’t know, Draya Michele is the ex-fiancee of NFL cornerback Orlando Scandrick and ex-girlfriend of musician Chris Brown.
The 39-year-old is also the girlfriend of Houston Rockets star Jalen Green. Green, who is 22 years old, and Michele had a daughter together on May 12, 2024.
The relationship between Green and Michele drew criticism from several sources, including rapper and podcast host Joe Budden.
“If you want to f— a 21-year-old, cool. But now you got a baby by a 21-year-old? You are a predator and I said this last year, there is a lot of women in their 40s, I can’t believe you won’t speak for this,” Budden said of the pregnancy.
Michele responded to criticism with a post confirming the pregnancy and condemning the attacks against her.
But it seems as if Reese, and many others, have already made up their mind.
