Antonio Brown Arrested In Dubai, Being Sent To U.S. To Face Attempted Murder Charges In Florida

The Antonio Brown saga is finally coming to an end.

Earlier this year, Brown was wanted by police after he was accused of firing a gun at an influencer boxing event in Miami.

The police filed a warrant for Brown, and planned to charge him with attempted murder.

According to the warrant, Miami police detectives later obtained video footage that appears to show Brown punching another man, sparking a melee, and the footage later shows Brown appearing to take the gun of a security officer and running toward the man he had punched. According to the warrant, cellphone video captures two gun shots as Brown approaches the victim and includes the victim ducking.

On May 21, according to the warrant, detectives met with the alleged victim, who told them that after the initial fight had been broken up, Brown “began to run toward him with a firearm” and shot at him twice, possibly grazing his neck.

Brown fled to Dubai and was there for months before authorities caught up to him.

The former NFL wide receiver has now under police custody in Dubai, and will be extradited to the United States to face trial over the attempted murder charges.

“Miami Police confirm that U.S. Marshals have apprehended Antonio Brown and that he has been extradited to the U.S.,” Miami-Dade Police Spokesman told the media “No date has been set for his transfer to Miami-Dade County.”
