It’s been long speculated that Davante Adams’ time as a member of the Las Vegas Raiders could be coming to an end, and Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce has only added fuel to that fire.

On Instagram, Pierce liked a post detailing a reporter from NFL insider Michael Fabiano, who claimed that people “[should not] be surprised if Davante Adams has played his last snap for the Raiders.”

Adams, 31 years old, has played in three of the Raiders’ four games this season, catching 18 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown.

Ever since Aaron Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets in 2023, there has been speculation that Gang Green would try to trade for Rodgers’ former Green Bay Packers teammate.

Given how the Jets have looked on offense so far this season, it certainly wouldn’t be surprising if they were exploring trying to acquire Adams, particularly considering how much they’ve struggled to get Garrett Wilson’s season up and running.

Adams and Rodgers played together in Green Bay from 2014 to 2021, during which time Adams was named to five straight Pro Bowls from 2017 to 2021 before being traded to the Raiders for a 1st and 2nd round pick in 2022.

Drafted out of Fresno State in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Adams is a three-time first-team All-Pro member and is widely considered to be among the best wide receivers of his generation.

Over the course of his ten seasons in the NFL, Adams has 872 catches for 10,781 yards and 95 touchdowns.
