Arch Manning had a breakout game against Vanderbilt and is beginning to get Heisman buzz again.

On Saturday, Manning went 25-of-33 for 328 yards and three touchdowns in the team’s win against Vanderbilt.

After the game, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian praised Manning for bouncing back after a rough start to the season.

“He’s really growing up before our eyes, and he’s making great decisions,” Sarkisian said after Texas beat Vanderbilt on Saturday, according to Fox Sports. “[I’m] very proud of him. It [has] been a long year. He [has] been through a lot and so, for him to have some of the success he’s having right now — he deserves it.”

ESPN commentator Sean McDonough went on to declare that Manning is back in the Heisman race after his team’s win against Vanderbilt.

“Arch Manning was the preseason (Heisman) favorite … he’s fallen completely off the board,” McDonough said. “He’s on target again and he might be reigniting candidacy with this performance!”

Manning reacted to his big win on Saturday.

“I’m proud of the way we’re playing,” Manning said. “The Dawgs at their place is going to be no joke. We’ve got to continue to get better.”
