Arch Manning is feeling himself after Texas’s big win.
On Friday, Manning led the Texas Longhorns in their upset win against the third-ranked team in the nation.
After the game, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian made an impassioned plea to the college football playoff committee to include the Longhorns in the playoffs despite the fact that the team has three losses this season.
“That team is undefeated, they are the No.3 team in the country, and a lot of pundits out there think that they are the No. 1 team, we just beat ’em by 10,”
“I think this — if you really look at the body of work,” Sarkisian said. “If you look at the Southeastern Conference and what we have to go through every week. You look at the non-conference schedule we played, to go to Ohio State in Week 1 and lose by seven when we outgain them by nearly 200 yards, we have a really good football team. It would be a disservice to our sport if this team’s not a playoff team when we went and scheduled that non-conference game.

While speaking to the media, Manning felt good about Texas’s chances to win a national championship if the team were included in the playoffs.
“If you let us in, we could beat anyone.”

Considering how many teams have two losses on their record, it’s unlikely the Longhorns will make the playoffs this year.
