Arch Manning is not going to start for the Texas Longhorns during the 2024 college football season. Quinn Ewers decided to forgo the NFL Draft to run it back and his backup chose to stick it out instead of entering the transfer portal.

The nephew of Eli, Peyton and Cooper is set to takeover in Austin as a junior.

Part of Manning’s decision to play at Texas stemmed from the fact that Ewers would be ahead of him upon arrival. Coming from a small, private high school in New Orleans, he wasn’t ready to be thrust into the starting job. A year to learn the ropes and acclimate to the collegiate level served him very well.

There are a lot of haters out there who believe that Manning’s hype is only a product of his last name. That is not true and his dominant spring game disproved that narrative.

As does his most recent offseason workout, even though he was throwing against air.

Arch Manning has been back home in Louisiana since the end of his freshman year. He has been working closely with QB Country, the premier quarterback trainers in the United States. His physique and technique are both in great shape.

Not only does Manning look bigger and stronger, the ball is humming!

There are no limits on Arch Manning this fall. His redshirt is behind him, which only allowed Steve Sarkisian to play his five-star freshman in four games last year.

This year’s schedule could present multiple opportunities to get Manning in the game if Texas is as good as everybody says. Even in conference games.

  1. Week 1 vs. Colorado State
  2. Week 4 vs. ULM
  3. Week 5 vs. Mississippi State
  4. Week 9 vs. Vanderbilt
  5. Week 10 vs. Florida
  6. Week 11 vs. Arkansas

The future is very bright for the Longhorns and Manning is a big part of that. He looks ready!
