One of the perks of being Drake is that you can bet $300,000 on an insane long shot like Canada beating world champion Argentina and not lose any sleep over it.
Despite the reigning World Cup champions having odds of -300, Drake still rode with the underdog and put $300K on Canada at +960 to win in full-time.
Unsurprisingly, Canada lost by a score of 2-0 courtesy of goals from Larturo Martinez and Lionel Messi (the first of the tournament for the 37-year-old soccer legend), making Drake $300,000 poorer.
Yet, while the loss of the money may not bother Drake, his ego is far from being bulletproof, as his recent beef with Kendrick Lamar has proven.
Clearly getting word of Drake’s bet against them, the Argentina national soccer team celebrated the win over Canada by trolling Drake with a Kendrick Lamar-related post on social media.

Argentina will now take on either Colombia or Uruguay in the 2024 Copa America Final on Sunday, June 14.
In the last five years, the Argentina national soccer team has played in 61 matches and has lost just two of them. Their record is 45-14-2 across those 61 games, with one of those wins being in the World Cup Final against France in late 2022.
