Kyndrich Breedlove is in search of his fourth school after entering the transfer portal in the offseason. The defensive back has suited up for Ole Miss, Colorado, and Purdue across the last three years.
He appeared to find a new home after committing to play for College Football Playoff participant Arizona State. Despite his pledge to the program, he refuses to shut his recruitment down.
Breedlove was considered a four-star prospect in the class of 2021. Originally from Tennessee, he chose to play in the SEC with the Ole Miss Rebels.
Over two seasons in Oxford, he totaled 10 appearances, nine of which came as a freshman. After seeing a steep decline in playing time as a sophomore, he left.
Breedlove ended up in Boulder with Deion Sanders, where he filled in for an injured Travis Hunter in 2023. Despite playing in nine games, he again hit the portal in search of a larger role.
The cornerback ended up at Purdue where he recorded three of the Boilermakers’ four interceptions in 2024. Rather than stick around in West Lafayette, he’s looking to cash in on his most successful season with another program change.
Kyndrich Breedlove entered the transfer portal at season’s end when the Boilermakers welcomed in a new coaching staff. Two days ago, he made a commitment to Arizona State.

The pledge was considered a big get for the Sun Devils, who have dealt with a mass exodus despite the team’s recent success. NIL has had a major impact in those departures.
While Breedlove is committed, he’s yet to sign on the dotted line. With that being said, he’s chosen to keep his options open in the recruiting process. Days after making that ASU pledge, he’s off to visit another school with a much larger NIL bankroll.
Arizona State commit Kyndrich Breedlove is visiting Tennessee.
Despite recently announcing a commitment to Arizona State, I’m told transfer DB Kyndrich Breedlove will be visiting Tennessee tomorrow.

Breedlove is reportedly set to check out a school in his home state. Not only would it represent a homecoming of sorts, but it could prove lucrative, too.
The Vols haven’t been shy with their NIL spending over the last few years. Look no further than starting QB Nico Iamaleava, who was said to have landed an $8 million deal to sign with the school.
Breedlove won’t garner that price tag, but he’d likely make more money in Knoxville than in Tempe given Arizona State’s NIL constraints.
It seems the Vols are looking to flip the defensive back and lure him back to the SEC. Breedlove’s listening to Tennessee’s pitch despite his Arizona State pledge. We’ll soon find out who bags the corner for his final season of eligibility.
