The Arkansas football team took down SEC rival Auburn with a strong defensive performance on Saturday, besting the Tigers 24-14. Despite the loss, Hugh Freeze believes the better team lost!

In fact, he went as far as to say the Tigers would roll the Razorbacks nine times out of 10 if they had the chance.

“I mean no offense whatsoever to Arkansas,” Freeze said after the loss. “I love Sam Pittman. I hope he wins the rest of his games. But I’m telling you, the hard truth is, if we played them nine more times, we’d beat them nine more times.”

The delusion made immediate headlines.

Hugh Freeze noted that his team outgained the Razorbacks 431-334, but that five turnovers played the biggest part in his offensive stagnancy.

That might be true, but unfortunately, it’s become a trend for the Auburn offense!

In a loss to Cal, QB Payton Thorne threw four picks. The Tigers also lost a fumble. In their two wins, they’ve totaled four turnovers. What’s to say the issues would suddenly clear?!

Auburn ranks last in the NCAA in turnovers lost and 131st (out of 132) in turnover margin. They can’t stop giving the other team the football!

Arkansas made sure to note that fact while trolling its SEC football rival.

“That’s a pick nine times out of nine,” the caption read. Murder reported!

Hugh Freeze continues to dig his own grave with Auburn fans amid an 8-9 start to his tenure. He’s continuously thrown his players under the bus, leading to criticisms of his ability to lead.

Should he be unable to fix the offensive issues over the next few weeks, his seat could start to warm.

Unfortunately, things don’t get much easier for the Tigers over the next few games. They’ll face a trio of ranked teams in Oklahoma, Georgia, and Missouri over the next month.

Yikes!
