It turns out that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s short-lived marriage didn’t even get to enjoy a honeymoon phase. Literally.

According to reports from alleged inside sources, the issues between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s marriage began on their honeymoon in Lake Como, Italy. The A-list couple visited the gorgeous Italian destination in August 2022, just one month after their wedding in Las Vegas.

The couple officially filed for divorce earlier this week following months of rumors and speculation about their relationship status.

“Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s relationship issues began on their honeymoon in Lake Como, Italy,” a source told the New York Post’s Page Six.

“He was unhappy with paparazzi following them. She is an international superstar, and he acted like it came as a surprise that they would be followed around.”

“When they weren’t in front of the cameras, ‘They would barely speak to each other during what was supposed to be the happiest time of their life. He sold her on him being a changed man, and that lasted a very short time,’ our source claimed.”

Another source who spoke to The Post echoed reports that the marriage between the pair felt like a “fever dream” to Affleck, who first dated Lopez 20 years ago in the early 2000s.

“Another insider told us Affleck finally came to his senses about their renewed puppy love, once his sobriety ‘started to settle in with normality.'”

Although their marriage is now officially over, Affleck and Lopez may still be forced to interact in the coming months as Affleck’s production company Artists Equity is producing both of J. Lo’s next two films, including the Anthony Robles biopic Unstoppable, which will be premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

In addition to Lopez in the role of Robles’ mother, Unstoppable also stars Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Don Cheadle.
