Bill Belichick wore eight Super Bowl rings to the NFL Honors award ceremony on Thursday night. His girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, also wore a massive championship ring of her own.
It was not his ring!
Belichick was the biggest topic of conversation in the entire National Football League upon arrival to Saenger Theatre. Not only did he pull up with a scantily-clad 24-year-old on his arm and a different Super Bowl ring on every finger, it appeared as though he loaned one to Hudson.
That immediately sparked an onslaught of ridicule. Fans could not believe how whipped he must be to hand over one of his rings to a woman who was not even in his life when he won the ring. She also must be extremely self-centered to ask him for a ring in the first place. Right?
Wrong! Bill Belichick’s girlfriend was not wearing one of Bill Belichick’s Super Bowl rings.
Jordon Hudson was a highly competitive cheerleader on the Division-III level at Bridgewater State University in Massachussetts. The Bears claim eight national titles.
Hudson was there to win one in 2021!
Thus, while Belichick wore his eight Super Bowl rings on the red carpet, she wore a ring of her own.
The dress also drew plenty of criticism. A number of people online thought it was way too much. They thought it was an attempt to make the night all about herself.
It was a conscious decision but not for that reason! Jordon Hudson says that her antics often go over everyone’s head. She selected the gown because it is reminiscent of a Lombardi Trophy.
There we have it. Bill Belichick’s girlfriend was not wearing one of his Super Bowl rings and her dress was an homage to the eight times (six as a head coach) that he lifted the most iconic trophy in sports.
