March Madness is officially over and we’re now at that stage in college basketball where rumors float around about the head coaches.
Well, it turns out many Kansas Jayhawk fans feared that Bill Self might retire at the conclusion of the season.
Now, the veteran head coach addresses those rumors.
According to Michael Swain, Bill Self basically dumped cold water all over the retirement speculation. He plans to return to Kansas for at least another season.
Bill Self said he will be the coach at Kansas next season.
"I am 100% positive I will be coaching this upcoming season at the University of Kansas and hopefully many beyond that."

Kansas fell short of the National Championship this year after winning the title just a season ago.
Jayhawk fans were legitimately concerned that Bill Self would call it a career. Instead, he’s here to stay and the fanbase is loving it.

The only two words Kansas fans need to express themselves.

With Bill Self returning, Kansas should be able to maintain competitive play next year. It’ll be an interesting offseason for this squad.
Especially considering Kansas could lose three key players to the NBA Draft.
Regardless, with the basketball prestige that Bill Self and Kansas bring, the Jayhawks should be just fine moving forward.
Additionally, Self shutting down the rumors allows the program to focus on the goal of improving the roster. There should be substantially less outside noise for Kansas to worry about.
With that said, look for Bill Self to continue being one of the better head coaches in college basketball. He’s not calling it a career just yet!
