Bills Fans Angry Davante Adams Play Was Ruled A Catch A Day After Controversial Interception

NFL

Bills fans are still not happy with NFL refs.

On Saturday, the Broncos were awarded a controversial interception against the Bills, angering fans.

In the play, Bills wide receiver Brandin Cooks appeared to be down by contact when he was stripped of the ball by a Broncos defender.

The refs eventually decided that Cooks did not complete the process of a catch and ruled the play an interception.

“The receiver has to complete the process of a catch. He was going to the ground as part of the process of the catch and he lost possession of the ball when he hit the ground. The defender gained possession of it at that point. The defender was the one who completed the process of the catch, so the defender was awarded the ball.”

On Sunday, a similar play went down during the Rams-Bears game in which Davante Adams was ruled down by contact and awarded the catch before he got stripped of the ball.

NBC NFL rules analyst Terry McAulay believed the refs made the right call on the Adams play.

“He clearly completed the catch, he has it long enough, and his knee was down’

Bills fans reacted to the Adams play on social media.
