Buffalo Bills rookie linebacker ‘Buffalo Joe’ Andreessen was overwhelmed with emotion after making the 53-man roster and being presented with an iPad loaded with videos from friends, family, and former coaches all congratulating him on realizing his lifelong dream of making it to the NFL.

‘Buffalo Joe’ is a native to to the area and grew up in Buffalo and played high school ball for Lancaster HS. He began his college career at Bryant University before transferring to the University at Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo) as a graduate transfer. At Bryant, he set a school record with 112 tackles and was named an All American which was his launching pad to become a starter in all 12 games for Buffalo.

Joe Andreessen went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft but was signed by the Bills on May 11th following a rookie minicamp tryout. From there, he faced the extremely uphill task of making the 53-man roster which, against all odds, he did.

Is Someone Cutting Onions Near Buffalo Joe Andreessen’ Or What?!

After making the team, the Buffalo Bills presented ‘Buffalo Joe’ Andreessen with an iPad loaded up with videos from his former coaches, family, and friends congratulating him on realizing his lifelong dream of making it to the NFL.

When his mom hits him with “Joseph, what an amazing journey has been. But let me ask you this, where else would you rather be than right here, right now?” the water works began. You love to see it. Someone putting in the work and achieving their dream.

My biggest takeaway from all of this is ‘THANK YOU, NFL’ because they are FINALLY allowing their videos to be embeddable. In years past, all of their YouTube videos were blocked from being embedded regardless of whether or not they included game footage. So I was handcuffed when trying to share heartfelt videos like this one with the millions and millions of monthly BroBible readers.

Hopefully, the NFL has realized that having their YouTube videos embeddable on every major media website and mid-major websites is great for business and they will continue this as we enter the season because I love clips like this (!!) and I love sharing them with you bros!
