BKFC fighter John Garbarino will always remember the night he competed at KnuckleMania 5 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Garbarino, a Philly native, lives just a block away from the arena and his fight against Apostle Spencer was the biggest of his career.
And boy, did he ever deliver.
Garbarino absolutely destroyed Spencer with an overhand right in the first round to earn a knockout victory. But that was only the start of his memorable evening. After the fight, Garbarino invited his girlfriend in the ring where he revealed he asked her mother for permission to marry her daughter. He then got down on one knee with a ring in hand and proposed.
“Will you be my bride?” Garbarino asked, before his girlfriend answered with an emphatic “yes” and a kiss. It was scene that felt right out of a Rocky movie.

After the fight, Conor McGregor even addressed the incredible moment.
