The Blind Side controversy around Michael Oher and the Tuohy family continues to get ugly as both sides have now made statements about the situation.
Since then, some people jumped online clamoring for Sandra Bullock to lose her Oscar for her performance in the film. Now, co-star Quinton Aaron defends her.
According to TMZ, Aaron, who played Michael Oher in The Blind Side, “is furious with those clamoring for Sandra Bullock to lose her Oscar over the new Oher drama.”
Since the situation between Oher and the Tuohy family became public, many have voiced their opinions on social media.
Due to the fact Bullock played Leigh Anne Tuohy, and won an Oscar for her performance, the famed actress got caught up in the mix of comments.
With that said, Quinton Aaron doesn’t think Sandra Bullock should be receiving any flack at all.
“To make a statement like that doesn’t make any sense. Sandra Bullock didn’t have anything to do with the real story that we’re reading as of right now. She gave a brilliant performance. And that shouldn’t be tarnished for something that had nothing to do with her,” per TMZ.
For the most part, people agree with Aaron on this topic. Maybe there are a few people out there that actually want Bullock’s Oscar stripped away for her performance in The Blind Side, but most of the comments online appear to be jokes.
You can feel the sarcasm in this comment.
they’re gonna pull Sandra Bullock’s Oscar like Reggie Bush’s Heisman

How do you even take an idea like this seriously?
So Sandra Bullock should have to give back her Oscar right, and man do we need to start checking these good feeling stories. The parents blocked $300 in earnings the movie from him getting any of it and gave the money to their real children? WOOOOOOOW! #michaeloher

Anywho, the controversy around Oher and the Tuohy family is still ongoing.
And it’s safe to say that Sandra Bullock isn’t a part of it whatsoever.
