Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix made headlines during a game against the division rival Raiders on Sunday. He was involved in a pair of now-viral interactions that have NFL fans talking.

One of those instances involved his head coach, Sean Payton, while the other saw him being mocked by an opponent.

Payton selected Nix with his first-round pick last April, believing he’d found his quarterback of the future following a falling out with Russell Wilson.

He landed an immediate starting role upon entering his rookie year, and he hasn’t looked back.

That said, there have been some bumps in the road.

The Broncos lost their first two games, scoring just one touchdown in the process. Since, something’s clicked.

Denver entered its Week 5 matchup with Las Vegas riding a two-game winning streak. Bo Nix threw his first touchdown of the year last week against the Jets while taking down veteran Aaron Rodgers.

He continued riding that momentum this weekend.

Bo Nix scored three times against the Raiders…

Though his day didn’t get off to the best start.

The Broncos were held scoreless in the first quarter of action as they watched the Raiders take a quick 10-0 lead. Looking to rattle the young signal caller, Las Vegas defensive end Maxx Crosby began singling him out.

At one point in the action, the quarterback’s emotions seemed to boil over.

Despite grabbing a 20-10 lead in the third quarter, a frustrated Nix was seen screaming at his head coach on the sidelines.

The two appeared to disagree on a play call, leading Nix to give Payton a piece of his mind before storming off to the bench. The duo nearly had to be separated by teammates.

Whatever that disagreement was, the feelings of animosity likely didn’t last. Denver would add two more touchdowns over the final 15 minutes to leave with a 34-18 victory.
