MLB insider Bob Nightengale is having a rough day and is getting lit up by Mets fans over his erroneous reporting.
On Friday, reigning NL Cy Young winner Trevor Bauer announced that he’s signing with the defending champion LA Dodgers via a Youtube video.
Trevor Bauer's three-year deal with the Dodgers is for $102 million guaranteed — and for $40 million in 2021 and $45 million in 2022. He can opt out after each year, meaning he'll make $40M if he opts out this year, $85M if he does so after 2022 and $102M if he stays all three.

Bauer’s announcement was a bit of a surprise considering USA Today MLB insider Bob Nightengale confidently reported that he was going to sign with the Mets on Thursday night.
Nightengale went on to backtrack on his initial report and claims Bauer had a last-minute change of heart.
