Legendary NBA player/broadcaster Bill Walton passed away earlier this week, and while most of the basketball community is mourning his death, one radio host decided it was a good idea to mock the beloved former Celtic.

On Monday, it was reported that Walton had died at 71 after a long battle with cancer.

Tributes poured in across social media from people who either worked alongside Walton or from people who were entertained by him.

During Tuesday’s Toucher and Hardy show on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston, Fred Toucher was asked by a caller to play an old clip of him hanging up on Walton during an interview.

Toucher went on to mock the late Walton and labeled him as a “phony hippie” for being a spokesman for car companies.

“He called in an acted a fool about his son on the Lakers and he was like first of all you have to buy a Jeep Wrangler…Like make up your mind you phony hippie… are you really seling cars or are you all about peace and love?”

Fans blasted Toucher over his insensitive comments.
