Brady Cook learned the hard way that Texas A&M fans create one of the loudest environments in college football. The Missouri quarterback was forced to eat his words after belittling the atmosphere at Kyle Field during the week.

To make matters worse, the Aggies trolled him on the scoreboard during the game!

Cook, a fifth-year senior, was asked about the Tigers’ preparation for the trip to College Station on Tuesday. He explained that the team placed a few huge speakers right behind the line of scrimmage during practice to emulate the 12th Man.

In his opinion, the manufactured audio was actually a lot louder than the real thing because it is a different type of noise. Those are his word, not mine.

The noise at practice is actually louder.

Although Cook did not necessarily intend to slight Texas A&M, he did exactly that. Aggies fans were furious with the comments and took his slight to heart. Kyle Field (which has been recorded at a volume above 125 decibels) was extra motivated to make him feel its wrath.

And boy, did he!

Ninth-ranked Missouri lost by 31 points. The Tigers went down 24-0 at halftime and never recovered.

If that was not embarrassing enough, Cook completed only 13 of 31 pass attempts for 186 yards and one touchdown in the second half. He also got absolutely roasted on the jumbotron.

His offense committed back-to-back false start penalties on third down during the fourth quarter while trailing by 28. The scoreboard cut to a shot of Missouri’s offense and focused on Cook. As the camera zoomed in on the opposing quarterback, Texas A&M overlayed his quote about the crowd noise.

It really doesn’t get much more demoralizing than that right there. A stadium of 102,000 — and the entire internet — laughed together at Brady Cook for putting his foot in his mouth.
