Luke Bryan performed in Atlanta over the weekend, playing for a large crowd in the rain at Truist Park. In the Braves‘ case, that rain wasn’t a good thing.

Photos on Tuesday showed the aftermath of the show, which ruined the outfield grass for a game against the Phillies.

Dead grass spots covered the centerfield area where Bryan performed on stage.

When concert equipment was removed, a disaster was unveiled. It offered an unsightly visual for Tuesday night’s MLB action.

Not only was it an ugly sight, but it had viewers worried about the safety of the home team’s players.

I swear if Luke Bryan makes Michael Harris injure himself on one of these dirt mounds…

Injuries have been a common theme in Atlanta this season as setbacks continue to pile up. The team just can’t seem to stay healthy!

Superstars Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuna have been shut down with season-ending injuries. Players like Ozzie Albies, Max Fried, and Austin Riley have spent time on the IL, too.

Heck, even the replacement additions have experienced immediate setbacks. The Braves can’t seem to catch a break!

“It gets to a point where it’s kind of over the top a little bit, and you can’t cover it. Depth will cover it to an extent, but after a while, it’s hard.”

-Manager Brian Snitker

Fans obviously didn’t want to see another player go down due to these horrid field conditions.

Somehow, Atlanta has overcome the adversity in route to a 67-58 record. As of now, they hold a 2.5-game lead over the Mets for the National League’s final playoff spot.

We’ll see if the Braves can avoid any more damage over the final two months of the season. Cleaning up the outfield would be a good start!
