A weird brawl broke out right on the track at the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series event at Winder-Barrow Speedway on Saturday night. It occurred after a crash involving at least nine cars blocked the track on one of the straightaways.

According to Racing News, the dirt late model drivers were racing in the $5,000-to-win main event at the 3/8-mile track in Winder, Georgia, when the chaotic scene unfolded. Of course, much of what happened was caught on video.

In the first video, during the red flag stoppage, driver Jamie Oliver approached Payton Stevenson’s No. 24 to have a little “discussion” about something he apparently didn’t appreciate. Oliver poked his head into the No. 24 car’s cockpit, then he poked his hand into Stevenson’s helmet before pointing at the ground, apparently wanting to have a BAMF standoff with him right there on the track.

Before that could happen, however, a man wearing a yellow safety vest ran out of the pit area and down the track towards the ongoing altercation. Based on his appearance, the man looked like he might be a track official. He was not. Because while running at full speed, he speared Oliver with a textbook shoulder tackle and held him down on the ground.

“Somebody get that man a NFL contract lol,” one viewer wrote in the comments to the video.

“That was aggressive,” read another comment. “Its like he was waiting for that moment all his f—— life.”

But wait, there’s more…

In a second video, the man in the yellow vest can be seen walking back down the track the way he came, when another driver, Nicholas Fulcher, appears behind him, running toward him. Just as the man in the yellow vest turns to see the man, he too was taken down with a fine-looking shoulder tackle.

Unfortunately, for the driver who did the tackling, his momentum carried him over the guy in the yellow vest, who once again ended up on top of the melee.

“Went to a race and a football game broke out!” read a comment on the video.

Fulcher’s wife Morgan was the one who shared the videos on Facebook. She wrote in the caption to her post, “Southern Allstar Super late model race at the Baja !! FAFO happened real quick and my husband got his revenge for a driver he don’t even know.”

“I appreciate it Nicholas Fulcher, old boy had that dam vest on like a track official took me a minute to figure out what was going on,” driver Jamie Oliver wrote after the event on social media.

By the way, Trae Kirk ended up winning the $5,000 prize after starting in fourth in the No. 66 car.
